This post is projection.

You went from supporting Perth getting the next team and turned into a psychopath who despises the existence of Perth because of an anonymous person on the internet.
I stopped supporting the Perth bid when it became obvious that it has no value. Perth Red and the other posters behind the idea talked it up big time while shitting on every other bid, but were caught out lying through their teeth.

Look at the facts:
  • 4,100 registered players in the entire state.
  • 5k PTV average for 2017.
  • 8k FTA average for 2023.
  • Desperately outdated stadium with poor corporate facilities.
  • No high performance training centre.
  • Poor ratings for AwFuL in the world's second largest fumbleball market.
  • Bid is pushed by the bloke who sponsored the destitute Reds.
  • WA Gov only want the team to draw tourists from east coast.
  • No assets or gaming revenue to draw on

There's no metric which gives Perth an edge over the other contenders.

It won't lead to an explosion in participation across Perth. It won't lead to an explosion in TV ratings. It won't make Test football stronger. It's a poor man's Melbourne Storm without News Ltd's backing.

The problem with the titans was first the failure of the centre of excellence which led to a lot of local tradies not being paid

ticket prices were insane because they were paying something like 3 million rent pa vs 1 million now

then along came the afl and threw a billion dollars at the suns. The afl has done everything it can for the suns to prosper and they are still a basket case

despite poor on field form the tots a crowds are excellent and their area is a hotbed of rugby league juniors

it’s a state which lives and breathes rugby league
I've got high hopes for them this year, they have a good side! It kida rests on Des, great coach but sort of got complacent.. he either learnt at is now an even better coach or continued on that path and is even more complacent.
Potentially a top four side on the up side, realistically 6th.

Kinda why I can't stand PR. The bull shit arguments.
I'm happy to have a team in Perth but let be realistic, it's not sunshine and lollipops. It'll take decades and millions and once again, I'd still cop that.
Just don't piss on my foot and tell me it's raining.

  • 5k PTV average for 2017. (haha 7 years ago?)
  • 8k FTA average for 2023. (not according to my stats, but again thats what happens when you neglect an area)
  • Desperately outdated stadium with poor corporate facilities. (it really isnt)
  • No high performance training centre. (Should be part of the Govt support for a new club)
  • Poor ratings for AwFuL in the world's second largest fumbleball market. (who gives a sht what afl get? The two clubs are also two of the best supported if you want to use afl as some sort of measure)
  • Bid is pushed by the bloke who sponsored the destitute Reds. (multi millionaire passionate about RL, and this is a bad thing?)
  • WA Gov only want the team to draw tourists from east coast. (Who cares their motivation as long as they stump up some funding? Premier is president of a local RL club)
  • No assets or gaming revenue to draw on (not an issue anymore with the NRL grant)

Jarryd Hayne going there ruined them.

he used to take the tackling bags at practice and throw them over the fence

It's a pity the Burleigh Bears aren't loaded like the Brisbane Tigers. If they were then they could buy a stake in the club. Heritage clubs with a stake in the local community are stronger than plastic "neutral" clubs that have no history.

Cant argue with any of that

With 3 teams coming in, one being png and the other nz2 I feel we can waste a space on Perth and it’s not a disaster

the other two teams will make up for a gws or suns type club in Perth

Knock off the lies and deflection tactics.

Your ratings were based on limited data from Media Week. Wookie has the full data and exposed your bullshit.

2017 was the only year Foxtel provided a metropolitan breakdown for its ratings.

There's no evidence the WA Gov is going to invest in the club's infrastructure. The WA Gov has sat on its arse for the last 25 years with regards to upgrading PRS -- despite having two tenants. Force were pulling 27k at Subiaco, yet the WA Gov couldn't stump up enough money to convert PRS into an adequate venue.

AwFuL ratings in fumbleball's second largest market sure are relevant when you've argued ad nauseum that the game needs to expand into Adelaide and Perth within a decade to get more money out of the broadcasters. If Western Australians aren't watching AwFuL in high numbers then you'd have to be f**ked in the head to think there's tens of thousands of people who will watch a rugby league team.

Victoria has 5k players you lying sack of shit. That means Victoria has the largest playing base outside of Queensland and NSW.

It's a pity the Burleigh Bears aren't loaded like the Brisbane Tigers. If they were then they could buy a stake in the club. Heritage clubs with a stake in the local community are stronger than plastic "neutral" clubs that have no history.
You got outed as a plastic Cowboys fan, and now you can't stop using that term.

The Burleigh Bears played most of there life in the NSWRL, and have about as much heritage in the QRL as the Logan Scorpions did (2/3rds of f**k all).
