Bit of a stretch lol it was Auckland FCs inaugural game ofcourse they’re gonna get a good turnout, although they did play well keep that up and they may keep them. Phoenix for comparison had 7,500 even with the hype of the gf last season
Ahh but to put it into even more perspective, the Wellington economy is tanking - big time.

Government-sector redundancies have added to cost of living pressure that the all of the country has been dealing with to really crunch down on disposable income here.

For CBD businesses it's been compounded even further by office workers working from home post-covid.

On short - Wellington is in a mess of a decline.

Well aware of Wellys struggles I’m there usually a couple of times a year. Was merely pointing out Soccers notoriously fickle crowds in NZ- A brand new teams first game isn’t really an indication that’ even soccer is doing better than Union ‘. I rarely watch soccer but tuned in to see how the team went, last game I watched incidentally was the Phoenix semi in May which sold out in Wellington…

It was rumoured that along with SI and Keas a third group of businessmen were interested in submitting. It was a 12th hour rumour and no other details have come to light on that one.

FFS, the inbreds just need to get around a table together and combine into one bid.
That's what I've been saying, ones the "local heritage", ones "the money", the other ones "the brand"
They all have something the others lack, thet seriously need to just break bread

Moffatt was upset they didn’t give him the job he wanted

Don’t think he or his bid bring much to the table pretty sure his was the crowd funding bid

Yep, their model lol

‘The club plan to adopt an unprecedented financial blueprint never seen in rugby or rugby league called a hybrid-cooperative model; the same framework adopted by the Green Bay Packers in the NFL.

“(The model) means that the fans will get an opportunity to own a percentage of the team, as will investors… we’re actually going to be able to demonstrate what a powerful financial model that’s going to be,” said Moffat. ‘
