The article posted earlier stated that the 2 south Island bids have been rejected.
It says 2 right?
Does that mean I can still hold hope that the mystery 3rd bid with rich backers has not..?

That's not a good sign...
But hopefully this all comes good and gets up, southern orcas could be a huge brand, I love the colors, and the idea of it, but hopefully it remains a chch based side with a Wellington split 9/3 or something like the dolphins, we'll have to see the turn out today at Apollo stadium for the Pacific championship

Searle involved with one bid, Moffett with another.

Mistakes made before anything was even conceptualised by having those two turkeys involved. Their names are tainted in the RL corporate world.

Moffett is not exactly news though… he has been around for six months

I wouldnt get sucked in by the headline about Searle …he is mates with the guy running the bid and he just seems to be a consultant of some sort after reading the story… he does have some experience winning a bid and setting up a team ..just don’t ask him to build the Center of Excellence

Searle is almost a big a joke as you.

The Titans are everything you don't want in an expansion club.
Tacky name (Remember the Titans was popular back then so they named the team after a f**king movie)
Ambiguous colour scheme which f**ked up their identity even further
Shiny new stadium! Too bad they had to pay hundreds of thousands to the Queensland government every time they played a game there.
Centre of Excellence! That of course was the nail in the coffin for snake oil salesman Searle As his vanity project almost sent the club down the toilet.

Thank God he was shipped off before any more damage was done.

And the PNG-NT idea sounds absolutely f**king awesome 🤣🤣🤣🤣

A second New Zealand team is absolutely still an option. I am going over there on Sunday for the Test match so I will have a good look at the region.
“These consortiums need to have a strong business case that shows how coming into the competition is going to bring a lot of benefits to the game of rugby league.
“If those benefits aren’t there and the investment isn’t there, well, we won’t go ahead with expansion.
“But the initial plan (for 19 teams in 2028) is still possible depending on how discussions go with the clubs and the WA government.”

Former NRL boss David Moffett was disappointed his Christchurch-based bid was shunned, but vowed to press ahead with plans for the South Island Kea to be part of an expanded competition.
“We are really disappointed to get the notification that our bid had been rejected,” Moffett said.
“We are reviewing it and we will be attempting to address the issues in respect to our bid and we will go back to the NRL and see whether we can provide another bid which meets their requirements.”
The Kea are one of three bids from New Zealand’s south island and Moffett said he was happy to continue working with the NRL.
“We’ve always taken the view especially with my experience in sports administration that it’s entirely within the rights of the NRL to decide when, if and who they are going to choose for an expansion team,” Moffett said.
“We actually respect that.
“We are fully supportive of their decision to go to Perth, PNG and whoever in New Zealand. We will continue to put our best foot forward and try to work out exactly where our bid fell down and address their issues.”
