It was Canberra though who have nobody

And they could’ve put 50 on them

Zero effort

I know it’s early but doubt they make the 8

no chance of the Wahs making the 8… I think Canberra will struggle too as well, even though they were way better today … Canberra have plenty of pace in their backs, up and coming halves and a couple of decent forwards …

Enjoyed watching Canberra

They might make the 8 but young side so consistently will be the problem

Sorry l don’t blame the agents…I’m sure NZ kids and their parents would prefer to remain in NZ than move to Australia

It’s exactly the reason why they need another team over there … these clowns should have won multiple premierships by now …It must make you Union fans so happy that they persist with these half wits (alone) over there

Looks like they plan to have RTS who is over the hill,,,, and perennial plodder Harris- Tavita playing in first grade all season…(again)
They go where their best bet of success is, sadly it’s not the Warriors at this point.
Bit of a myth that they should have won multiple prems by now, the Warriors are the shop front but there’s not a lot of substance behind that (NZRL) which is the real problem. By the time the Warriors get them they are having to play massive catch up to get them to the level of their Australian counterparts

Ok buddy … can’t believe you are talking the situation down for a change …

To me it seems very shortsighted to continually put your eggs in the one basket that is the Warriors and expect to have success in the long term …I think you could count the number of above average seasons they have had on one hand during their 30 yr existence… no code is going to thrive in those circumstances…The NRL needs to get another team there …even if that means putting their hand in their own pocket and potentially upsetting the Warriors

The Warriors were absolutely shithouse today.
I think everyone had Metcalf at 6 and TMM at 7.. and also assumed that not going with that combination would have been for a good reason.. but no, it was a disaster. Metcalf isn't a 7, he's a running 6.
Besides that, what was the plan? Stick it under your jumper?
Why was Tane on a wing? What purpose does a small wing serve in today's game?

I had faith that Webby would obviously know what he was doing, that there was a reason for all these obscure choices position wise but what we saw was just as stupid as it sounded.
If he doesn't wise up soon, he'll be looking for a new job.

yeah …. That would be better halves combo …i don’t see it as a Top 8 one though …

What happened to all the big wingers they used to produce like Manu and Francis Meli ? Seems a long time since they had anyone of that calibre

Not sure what your actually arguing but yes it would be great to have NZ2 to force the Warriors to up their game also.
A well run NZ2 would certainly get more locals to stay in NZ but should it go a similar trek to the Warriors it’d go a similar way with locals going to Aus for a better chance of success. Early success is crucial.
Improving the quality of local comps (particularly in younger age groups for development) would be of huge benefit to both also.

CHT had a decent trial and seemed to compliment Metcalf game so many weren’t surprised he got the nod. Today unfortunately was the CHT I’m used to.
Agree with halves pairing, TMM is better when he’s in charge but goes invisible when he has to play support role, it’s like he doesn’t want to step on toes or something?
CNK needs to Move to centre for RTS at fullback, Taine stays on wing but shit I’m worried about Kosi or Harper being the other Wing- Maybe push Pompey out as a stop gap?
Can only carry one of Capewell/Ford/Niukore on the field at a time, put one of the young guys on and rotate them so there’s a young guy with a more experienced head. Use Niukore as a shorter stint impact player.
Clark better starting and on when the front rowers are a bit lighter, Walker coming on when we need to change the tempo/add a bit of spark
