both aussie teams will fail to make it to the next round :)

Might have a lot to do with the AFC's continued insistence that our representative be a year out of form. I don't doubt Melbourne and Adelaide, on current form, would have done better than Central Coast or Newcastle can - just as I'm sure the premiership winning Jets would have done far better than the current lineup could.

We looked very sharp in the first half. Our passing and pace were slow, but Ulsan bought a second string side along and we never really looked out of control. Both Sasho goals were class.

How far off side was Petrovski's first goal?

One of the more obvious off side's I've seen.

Why didn't this just get its own thread?

Either way, I'm predicting a 2-1 win for us.
Because the other game didn't get much love and I thought it would be a waste of time putting another thread up if there was only going to be 6 replies to it ;-)

As for the game, we were very crisp in the first half, using the whole width of the pitch and both of Sasho's goals were classy finishes. I thought his first goal he was clearly offside, but after watching the replay, it was one of those ones where if he was awarded offside fair enough as well. If we were fair dinkum we should have won that, which we did, so it's all good and IIRC we play Nagoya next in about a fortnight. That's going to be a tough one :(

And their coach boasted that they would still be enough. They never looked like worrying the Jets - and Newie could have put on more goals with a bit of luck.
