i think you MIGHT be right there, i dont know 2 wat degree though, cause i heard vossy saying ages ago on the radio that work had begun on a sequal

I would personally be quite happy if it came through to January and Mario came out with a statement alogn the lines of "Work is well underway for the sequel to Rugby League and has been for quite a few months now" this would mean:

1. There is less time for us to wait for the sequel rather then them tellign us as soon as they get the go-ahead from all parties.

2. We may be able to be told just exactly what features will DEFINATELY be included at that stage.

I Cant Wait for a new game./ I think the new game will just have a better atmosphere due to

1. Realistic Graphics and great player likeness

2. Build up to Game, Better Statistics and Dual Commentators

3. More Realistic Gameplay

4. Better Cut Scene like expressions, body movements and camera angles eg Rolls eyes for Penalty, Argues with Ref for Send Offs/Sin Bins etc

5. Better Music. :lol: Could have the Bongo Song or club themesongs
e.g. Eye of the Tiger / Mad and Mean the Green Machine/ Glory Glory to Sth Sydney

theres an idea to build on atmosphere, play the team songs when the players are running out of the tunnel, i dont think any of them are copyrighted except manlys...

It all sounds great, but by the looks of things we won't see another league title for a good 18 months! By that time Rugby 2005 will be out, and if it's as good as they are promising it to be, well then NRL 2 won't get much of a look in unless they improve ALOT on the first title... perhaps a little deapth in the gameplay area would help, not to mention some decent crowd and player graphics (I really hated seeing half the people in the crowd just wearing different coloured warriors jerseys!!!).

Would it be financially feasible to release a small $50 version of the current NRL game with glitches ironed out and updated teams/rosters/players/rules to tide us over until the next NRL game?

Why???? If they added a "classic Matches" mode with a whole bunch of old player rosters, team strips and scenarios people would love it! I guarantee you that it would please alot of fans!

It would be alright but there is more important things to be added first i think.

There is a game in the works as we speak. Sidhe are not going to make the mistake of announcing it as early as the last title. They were to cluddered last game that was realeased. They are keeping it under wraps until a hearing from sidhe confirms a realease date. Trust me on this,they are not going to leave it to long to release a second game. Everyone will lose interest if that happens.Wait till January I garantee that Mario will come out and say that a new project has already begun being produced. Look for a 2005 release in September.
