What does everyone think would be the full strength line-up for Premier League this year?

Where do you think they will finish?

How do you think the Jim Beam Cup side will go?

Who will be the key players in each side?

Here is a possible Premier League line up. I have based it on the Nrl squad having an 18-man squad that I have also listed for reference.

Tell me your thoughts.

Newtown Jets:
1. Aiden Kirk
2. Michael Lett
3. Vince Mellars
4. Lelea Paea
5. Sam Perrett
6. Lopini Paea
7. Josh Lewis
8. Mickey Paea
9. Heath L’Estrange
10. Glenn Hall
11. Shane Shackleton
12. Adam Schubert
13. John Doyle

14. Steve Meredith
15. Lafi Manua
16. Daniel Dumas
17. Charlie Herekotukutuku

18. Eddie Leuluai
19. Rimini Reweti
20. Anton La Vin
21. David Pangai
22. Troy Malcolm

Nrl: (Sydney Roosters) Minichiello, Monaghan, Soliola, Cross, Roberts, Anasta, Finch; Morley, Wing, Tupou, Fitzgibbon, Flannery, Harrison; Tonga, Edmondson, Plum, Soward, Shillington

Pangai will not stay on the bench long if he DOES start there.
Do you think he can break in front of Lett, Mellars, Paea or Perrett?

Newtown have a very strong backline.

honestly if he puts his head down and works at it yeah I do.

The kids got a bit future ahead of him, I can't think of many in the game with more talent and over the last couple of years he's really started to find some consistancy too.

I *think* he still scrapes into the cut-off for flegg so if it did come down to it they'd probably be better off playing him in the starting side in easts flegg rather than on the bench in PL

Thanks GIRVIE, your a legend cobber !!

Thats a good looking side. Have heard EDMONDSON is still injured, will be interested to see if he plays. Shame no SOWARD in the team, but it looks pretty strong on paper.....

good luck to your Bears this weekend mate, hope they go well.....

Bluebags are still undefeated at Henson Park. Think we lost only one game all season at Henson Park last year ( beating grandfinalists Roosters and Parra in 2005 also at home ), and now go into 2006 winning two home games from two. Promising stuff and really good for the local fans.....

Still undefeated at Henson !!!!!! Jets beat the berries 40 to 22, however they scored a late try as were on 16.............Have a BYE next week so the top 4 should be ours !!!!!

Lost Jim Beam Cup though. 28 to 16 !!!!

Yeah Jets have the BYE. The first of the season for them whereas all other teams in the top eight have already had one I think, with one of the teams in the top three actually having already haven two. The BYE should be well timed for injuries as there are still numerous injuries in the Roosters NRL side and many of the reserve players playing first grade as a result.

So the bye should see us in about 4 th place by memory, however technically third......

I missed a weekend. Its his 21st this weekend (21/5) but he has been named on the bench for the Roosters. For once I hope Sticky drops him again then I can head out to Henso.

Am counting down the minutes mate. Two ORIGINAL sides playing on the sacred soil that is good old HENSON.

Could not buy a better day out for a couple of bucks if you tried !!!

Love seeing those two old traditional jerseys do battle at HENSON.....Bring it on brother !!!!

The Jets Beam game at 1.15pm should be good as well. I can't wait mate !!!!
