Haven't had much of a need to bag most of our players this year (although clearly you haven't heard me get started on charlie farah ;-) )

Is he related to Robbie? If as I expect he is,maybe Robbie has influenced the club to give him a go!I hate to be cinical, but this saught of thing has long been a problem of the juniours side to the club.Picking personalities and favourites over some who should be in their place IMO!!!
Also,Brook and other regular Balmain lower grade watchers. Can you tell me how as individuals, have the Flegg forwards been going?I know their position on the table suggests they have all been going ok,but Brian Dickson,Mick Harper and Brock Hunter in particular have been talked about as near sure 1st graders in the making.Has their form suggested that they are any closer to making that a reality?

Yeah he's robbies cousin

I can see the reason they gave him a go in the first place - the guy is HUGE and very fast for a forward, capable of a good offload at times too. The problem is lack of heart - its not that he doesn't have the ability to achieve but he doesn't seem to have the interest...with his size if he ran the ball hard he'd be very damaging. Sadly though I've only seen it happen once or twice.

As for the flegg boys Hunter has been sensational this year - coming ahead it leaps and bounds, I'm actually expecting him to get called to PL sometime shortly now that Lima is gone.

Dicko is much the same, he's the sort of player that often gets overlooked in the post match discussion because he's not at all flashy but he's a bloody hard worker and you do notice the difference when he's not there.

Harper has been kinda disapointing this year imo - not that he's playing badly (he isn't) but neither has he really seemed to achieve the same standard as last year. I think he's trying to offload too much and its effecting the way he runs the ball (because he's slowing and turning before he hits the line) I'd like to see him cut it out and just concentrate on hitting the ball up.

As for the other forwards the biggest disapointment has been Thomo spending most of the year so far injured - he was a standout last year and I'm hoping now he's back he regains the same form.

I have been impressed with Tim Tobin though - a very similar style player to thompson (very tough and no-nonsense) I think he's done a good job of filling the same sort of role - although he lacks Thomos ability near the tryline.

Franco Kmet has also looked great since they finally woke up to themselves and moved him out of the centres and back into lock. He really is an awful centre but when allowed to get more involved he seems to rediscover how to play.

Col Murphy coached Hession and Fakahua. Ben Cook (club stalwart) marked Fakahua. If anyone was to know their opponents well it was the Jets left side attack. Great stuff to watch!

Don't worry Tugger,
The Magpies will finish off what Balmain could'nt. Common sense will prevail and we will find our way through them out wide.
Im so sure of that! That I not only will have an avatar bet with a Newtown supporter. But I am willing to run up and down Queen st.Campbelltown naked if we lose. :| :|
PLEASE,disregard this posting as my silly little neighbour grabbed the keyboard and decided to have a little fun at my expense.Obviously I would never post anything like this. ;-) ;-)
