It's pretty unlikely though. However it should mean the club is free from all 2005 old boys influence and move on. All retreads would have been tried and failed.

I hated the Benji appointment However due to his standing in the game thought if he surrounded himself with experience it might work. Instead he surrounded himself with his mates, got an experienced recruitment manager sacked, appointed two more mates as pathways heads for Balmain and wests.

MaGuire was a 10 year premiership winning coach and didn’t have anywhere near the control over his assists/recruitment etc that a guy who’s coached 6 months as an assistant does.

He’s done as a club coach, reps is great for him as he doesn’t need to improve players skill set and the intense ranting/raving doesn’t get old for 10 days at a time.
