Parra held a board meeting today and knocked back the idea of Bennett to the eels with a third party approaching parra

they acknowledge the eels injuries on the eels form

JD might be all for 2024, unless things go so far south at the Cowboys that even the insulated Sydney media start paying attention. Parra have already backed Arthur by snubbing Bennett, and last year's surprise finals appearance has bought O'Brien a bit of time.

Even so in the Cows case, if the heat gets turned up, Payten could easily go to the board in his own defence with a ready made round in the chamber. All he has to do is point at the Taumalolo contract and say "YOU did this to yourselves before I was even here" and he gets some browny points on a platter.

Tend to agree that no further in-season sackings is the favourite

AOB - Has an excuse with Ponga injured now
Hasler - Seems to be getting a response from the players
BA - I can't offer any logic here but Moses and Gutho being out helps his case
Payten - Don't think he will be under any real pressure until next year.
Flanno - ANZAC Day aside, has shown enough already with 4 wins from 8 games IMO
Webster - Has enough credits in the bank after last year even if things get real bad this year
Ciraldo - Dogs are on an upward trajectory
Sticky - Probably the safest in the comp (not a good thing)
Marshall - Deserves more than one year but could be the most likely given what goes on in that board room.

Bellamy, Cleary, Bennett, Robbo, Siebold, Fitzy and Walters not in the conversation

Newcastle have:

Warriors (At home)
Tigers (Away)
Titans (Away)
BYE
Dogs (Home...no Origin players)

You'd think they win at least two of those even without Ponga. AOB safe for the month of May,

We could win all 4 or lose all 4.

3/4 those teams are playing better than us and we're kinda missing an important player.

Bellyache will choose to stay on before the end of the season.

So Ryles will get sacked before he even starts.
