4 eps into Those About To Die. It jumps around a bit much with too many plot lines in the first 2 eps, but it's starting to find it's pace now. Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Bolton) is in it, so that helps, and Anthony Hopkins in more of a Cameo than a main player.

Worth a look for anyone that liked Spartacus or looking for a fix before Gladiator 2 comes out. Planning on knocking over an ep or 2 tonight and am looking forward to it.
Episode 3 sold me on it. Up to Ep 6 which I'll probably watch tonight.

Succession. I'm not sure I like it. I'm 7 episodes in, I was into it, then I wasn't. I feel like it's pretty overrated in the genuine definition of the word - it has won so many awards which I find a little bizarre. I do get the feeling its one of those shows that is extremely popular with Americans but maybe not so much outside of America.

I will finish the first season at least.

I kinda found it a bit repetitive for the first few seasons.... Basically the old man would manipulate one of the kids and promise to make the them the big cheese when he moved on, only to then have a falling out and move on to oen of the other's and do the same thing.... rinse and repeat.

I thought it was good... Not great

f**king Loved The Penguin

Colin Farrell is a freak

Was an enjoyable watch.

I thought the first few episodes were a little better than the second half.

I guessed Sophia would end up in Arkham and Oz would kill Vic to save himself in the final showdown.

Was surprised when Vic made it it through all the confrontation and then...

What a piece of shit Penguin is.

Thought the ending although brutal, was brilliant.

Just confirmed 2 things for me about the Penguin -

1. He's a complete narcissist; and
2. He has a major oedipal complex.

Watched the entire first season of Cross on Prime Video.

for a so called brilliant detective with a PHD he’s one stupid motherf**ker.

it had the elements of a good show but whoever wrote it failed to bring it together in a cohesive enough way so it ended in a stutter.

I hope the source material was written like that otherwise that would mean it was a decision of the screenwriters which is worrying for the series going forward.

I nearly didn’t go further after the first episode which seemed to be entirely ‘white cops bad/dumb/racist, black cops and gangsters good/smart/caring’ but found the next few episodes pretty good. I’m not generally a fan of serial killer hunt shows where you know the killer very early, kinda defeats the whole premise. The only one I’ve found do it well was ‘The Fall.’

I haven’t finished it yet, worth going on with?

It’s only 8 or so episodes from memory so it’s not too big on an investment in time so if you’ve watched half a dozen it’s probably worth finishing it.

but yeah I had issues with it… narratively i felt they dropped the ball.

He has these two cases which you would think they would make intertwine and then climax together but it just felt like one was just an annoying side quest which they shoehorned an obvious end to.

It’s okay… I’ll probably give season 2 a go because I’ve invested in the story and characters but if they were to cancel it after 1 series I wouldn’t be too bothered by that either…
