Actually they have nearly 3 million more subscribers on top of kayo. About 50/50 on set top boxes still and the rest on Binge/Now

Thats a massive assumption. Especially considering a large part of the foxtel subscriber base isnt there for sport.

Cant remember something for which there is no actual data. Ill leave the wild guesses for folks like you
Showing nrl has 30 percent higher ratings than afl isn’t doing your argument any favours

Where’s it happened in Australia ?

And pretty funny you use the nba as an example

The sport where tv ratings are down 50 percent since 2012

Well the new NBA deal hasn't started yet...

NFL and EPL also have multiple TV networks and seem to do ok

Massive Australian sports they are

Lucky you arnet handling the tv deal

Heck you are even arguing that your afl deserves more than league because of more ad breaks

The situation as stated in today`s SMH:

"And while DAZN has a record of investing in domestic sports rights in major markets such as Japan, Germany and France, the likes of the NRL’s Peter V’Landys and the AFL’s Andrew Dillon may eventually appear too small fry for the streamer now cosying up with FIFA boss Gianni Infantino and oil-rich Saudis.

"Those behind the deal at DAZN say the company’s resolve for the NRL and its like, which is about to kick off broadcast negotiations for the 2027 season and beyond, has only strengthened, but V’Landys may have to adjust expectations for a bumper deal in the region the AFL managed to land in 2022."

So they are interested, just a question of how much they`ll pay and how desperate Nine/Stan and 10/ Paramount are.
We might be relying on the two FTA broadcasters to get a decent bid out of DAZN.
Who gives a fu*k what this Melbournite thinks, I don't. Always trolling....

He’s another one that said the bears were parasites for ages

Seeing the butthurt when the bears are announced in early January is going to be sweet

You would think these trolls would’ve learnt by now

Poor lambuck has pushed himself into a corner saying how bad the tv deal will be that there’s really no way he can back out in the future

I expect he will just stop posting on the relevant thread and stick to the afl and Penrith forums

Even his fellow afl mate has backed away from how bad the advertising market is and is now has no opinion at all even though his Twitter specialises in this
This from the bloke he says he’s seen 1000 NRL games after telling us earlier in the year he hadn’t been to a game for years. You are a bullshit artist.

Making up stuff doesnt seem to hurt your argument though

Forgetting that the AFL average is sustained over longer periods with more breaks - oddly enough about 30%-40% longer, making it more appealing to advertisers - which do matter apparently.

I didn't answer an Australian sport to catch you out as the fraud you are.

IF you were a RL fan. You would know that RL was on ABC and ch9 for 97 and was the same earlier...

Guess you were already at Swans games dribbling shit by then?

fraud

Ads don’t mean much to pay tv

All about ratings and subscribers

Maybe you should use this info next time you make a post on x about tv contracts

ABC who got the rights for free ?

That doesn’t sound like much of a plan to raise the tv deal

But sure the abc will add ten cents to the tv deal

Lmao

Your trolling was funny before now it’s just really silly

Every time he’s caught lying he falls back on the laughing emoji. The bloke is a classic BS artist.

Funny all these codes have journalists who champion their sport. NRL just has media & fans that talk down the sport.
