Dazn spending 3.5 billion to buy Foxtel

Probably would’ve been better just to start their own network by bidding for the nrl rights on their own and then using that to expand

Them they could’ve got Foxtel for pennies on the dollar

Most of the goodwill paid is from nrl subscribers

And they still need to bid for the nrl deal now and may lose out
You don't think they looked at all the options before they outlaid $3.5bn?

He's really wasting his talents posting here 300 times a day given the valuable advice he could be providing all the biggest companies on the planet. He's accused at least 2 companies of fraud just by looking at their financials.

lol foxtel has 4.7 million subscribers. Probably around 700k motivated to subscribe by nrl. They haven’t paid $3.5bill for 55% of kayo Subscribers.

If nrl really has 700k subs on fox then afl is 500k

So 3.5 million are paying for it but not watching anything

You know since 72 percent of the top 100 programs on Foxtel are all nrl

lol

Coming from members on this forum, or some of the league fraternity on twitter that gobbles up whatever the f**king telegraph prints or Vlandys says like its holy writ
Like I said, you are no better, soo quick to call out V’Landys hyperbole but have to study Gil’s. The only difference is you are the only one pretending to be impartial & ‘above the code wars’, all the while stoking them for “those playing at home”. It’s very transparent.

You do understand vast majority of people with foxtel don’t just watch sport don’t you?
kayo accounts for only 1.6mill of the 4.7mill.

AFL types are just as bad … a lot of them think the NRL is still being played in front of 5k crowds and it’surviving on the bare bones of its arse like it’s 1998 … if you live in Melbourne or Perth how little do you actually hear about the NRL…

The first quote above not the second one which was highlighted shows how impartial he is

Its all have it for and many others are the same
Me too, I pay the 40 so my League mad medical student son can share it with me from his dorm at hospital he`s training at.
Can be frustrating though, I smashed a remote on the weekend when Kayo kept playing up and I missed the first 20 minutes of one game and 10 of a couple of others, I don`t fork out 40 every month in good faith and then have to have the tranny on like I did for 40 years before I got Kayo.

Getting $120 mill extra cash a year is amazing. It’s unprecedented, there has never been a tv sports rights Increase like it In Australia
They`re spending $70m a year on that waste of time called fumbles-w, expect that to go up to $100m per annum soon, and have spent $200m+ over the last 4 or 5 years.
That`s how you blow the (questionable) $150m broadcast deal advantage you love to crow about and have sweet f**k all to show for it.

you know that Binge and Kayo are neck and neck for subscriptions as of the last report, it follows that com/res subs will be similar in nature.

I called out Gil on the queensland thing too.

Im going where the data is, but sometimes you have to follow the lead set by Vlandys, and News Limited ya'know

It wouldnt matter what i post, theres a variety of AFL and NRL forums who are going to accuse me of bias anyway. May as well be part of that. And when i say those playing at home, i mean some of the most biased sports people on both LU and Bigfooty.
