Have you seen the amount of Sportsbet ads on any Fox Footy/Fox League broadcast?

What is the main provider of income for Fox …subscriber fees or advertising?

You don’t have the product in the first place to encourage people to subscribe to it … the advertising considerations are secondary

Sports media lawyer says “no chance “ NRL will top AFLs Broadcast deal due to the change in Gambling Advertising…

Is this really a big needle mover for Subscription/ fee based broadcasters ? Will be a factor FTA
Will cost us some of that projected 800 mill pa .... but only 30 mill or so
total revenue is around 63 mill pa for both codes combined

will cover the fumblers easily still...

They need the competitive tension still … no one is paying double for something if you are bidding against yourself…

that timeslot has the most value for broadcasters over the extra game being Sunday

seven and Fox would pay probably 50 million pa just for that one game a week

If they bring back MNF, don't schedule any games two days out before Origin. Having understrength teams play without Origin players on a Monday night is not a good look.

There’s a chance of that happening. The AFL did get a lot more.

After all of his relentless gas bagging about "Record viewership" and "biggest the game has ever been" meanwhile the refereeing is all time worst it's ever been and there is a perception out there the game is managed "entertainment", he f**king better hope he doesn't lose to the AFL.

The perception is reality in that sense. As soon as they decided to increase the 6 agains substantially to make the game quicker to quote make it more exciting they in turned f****** the contest and reduced the player pool significantly (like 2021 you are now looking for a different type of athlete). It’s f****** stupid.

Said all along if there’s serious competition it‘ll be around $600mill a year cash and contra. Anything more he’s done well, anything less and it’s a a f**k up. AFL allegedly had 3 bids willing to pay $500 —$600mill plus.

you might have said it “all along” but that doesn’t mean anything …. You are just taking a guess like everybody else… you are not basing that figure on any meaningful information ..,it’s just a gut feel

Love your attitude that a few million either way can be the difference between “done well” and “total f**k up” 😂

One thing I’ve said for a while now .. the clubs ( and players) will run him out of town on a rail if they buy Super League and that money equates to most of the next broadcast deal increase 😂

That’s a move you should make AFTER you get the big deal.. They must have Trump like levels of confidence otherwise 😎

No sht sherlock! We are all going off ‘gut feeling’ at this time.

Im not sure the proposed investment in SL is as much a some people seem to want to believe.
theres going to be $34mill, plus whatever the club grant goes up by, for two new teams out of future funding. PNG funding will cover some or all of their grant costs maybe.
we know clubs, nsw and qlnd will have their hands out for more.

Monday night was terrible for crowds, I hope it doesnt return. Nothing worse than watching a game on tv from an empty stadium, makes it look like nsw cup.
crowds dont bring the money that tv viewership and therefore advertisements placings for those tv time slots do.
this is such a known fact that i dont get why you even bring crowds into this chat. this is 2026/7/8 not 2006/7/8.
