I’m going to play golf on the Gold Coast that morning. Might take my time driving up the M1 back to Brisbane afterwards. I’ll be the driver cruising at 20km/h with all the other cars blasting their horns at me.

Could be in trouble if injury or two, bench seems to lack options

O Brien needs to take a stand here and drop these ‘high profile’ players. They aren’t performing and shouldn’t be rewarded. We arent going to get close to Melbourne anyways so I think it’s time to draw a line in the sand and give other players a shot. Maybe getting dropped might give them the kick up the backside they need.

Ese'ese is such rocks and diamonds. Great on his day but has some major shockers here and there. Was sad to hear he was leaving but after yesterday's performance, not going to miss him too much.

Surely we will get to see Hoy, Crossland and Randall this game?

Ponga was pretty dangerous yesterday and Ese has been strong all year. We’d be silly to drop either of them.

I thought Ponga was good yesterday. It’s just that the mental midget at 7 wasn’t giving him much to work with.

This is pretty close.

Dont like moving Mann but we cant have 2 rookies at dummy half.

On the flip side moving Man does give us a good look at Crossland.

Not sure if I'd have Hoy or Randall on the bench but I lean towards Randall so we at the very least have a genuine 9 in the line up. + he deserves a crack.

Mann at 9 is best option in my opinion, as has been stated, gives a good look at Crossland at 6 (Hoy at 6 a very outside chance comparatively) and Mann‘s current role and form is minimally affected given recent gameplay

Mann has exceeded my expectations, but still think he is suited to a 9/roving 13/14 role. If only last year he had developed the skills Brown bought him for.

We need a ball distributor/kicker at 6 to mask Pearce’s ineptitude.

by all reports that's Crossland, a junior developed genuine half with a passing and kicking game who I imagine has some game management ability. AOB has talked up his defense and mentioned him a number of times in the past when halves have been talked about.

If Mann is moved I'd be surprised if Crossland isnt at 5/8 in what will be the strongest indication yet that the penny has dropped regards Pearce. If the penny hasnt dropped Hoy will be 5/8.

Great insight.

Crossland we know is a 7/6. Hoping Hoy gets to be the 6 we need, but will take time if so.

Perfect world In the future, forget re signing Pearce.

2022, Ponga, Hoy, Crossland, Brailey, (Watson 14 pending fitness/money). Sasagi unproven also, but potential is incredible. Best and Star outside.

Future could be something special.

I forgot about him, interesting to see which way the cards fall, as we're seeing with Watson things dont always go to plan.

So far with the injuries Watson has had and with this latest set back his career, or at least the potential it had, is in the balance at the moment

Sadly yes.

He is one of very few in the history of my knowledge of the game, been watching for 35 years (and yes a 7 year old perspective when I started), that I feel effort exceeds skill to the point it is worth pursuing. But it is a business and I wouldn’t blame the club for not renewing.

I liked what I saw from Mann when he went into the nine. Seemed much more confident and more involved. Perhaps :

1. Ponga
6. Crossland
7. Pearce
9. Mann
14. Hoy

Seems pretty well balancedm
