we had a lot more to play for than the Dragons
we could possibly have got two bites at the cherry if we'd won
i'm just crossing my fingers that the Panthers get their fingers out - cos honestly, we'd get wholloped by the dragons ... they are on too much of a high now
You never stated that a loss would of necessarily been the end of the world.
You clearly said DA would not necessarily of wanted to win this game.
Can I quote you earlier?
"Go read the thread/post properly, you dumb merkin. It clearly says, I dont think DA wanted to win the game."
So um, back then I clearly said 'I don't think DA wanted to win the game".
But now above, you concede that I clearly said "DA would not necessarily of wanted to win this game"
So not only are you unable to grasp the definition of "necessarily", it is patently obvious that you also have difficulties with the term "clearly".
Because I am pretty sure that "clearly" you can not use it twice to describe two conflicting statements.
There is a huge difference between "not wanting to win a game" and "not necessarily wanting to win a game" - again, maybe in Anderson's eyes a close loss would have relieved the pressure of the winning streak, without hurting the team's confidence.
To him, that may have been better than winning 8 straight, knowing the streak would have to go to an unprecedented 12 to win the comp.
Who knows?
It is a pure speculative view, and my hope by posting it, was to promote healthy discussion, and not to have to put up with misguided rants from dimwitted, uncertain imbeciles such as yourself.
For mine, it appears you keep painting yourself in to your corner, and now you have resorted to contradicting your former posts with your later ones, in a misguided attempt to save face.
I hear that Hindy's injury may be more serious than first thought
The great Jack Gibson used to say that coaches receive too much credit when the team wins and too much flak when they lose.
I really dont see a drama in the loss, as long as we got through it without any major injuries. If anything I think its a monkey off the back for the players. With all the press we've had lately it will be a good chance to shrug that off and get back to business this week. Finishing 5th or 6th was only gunna be acheived with upsets in other games this weekend and does it really matter? I know it's an old cliche but to be the best you have to beat the best and if we cant beat the dogs or dragons next week then we dont deserve to go passed that stage.
At no stage did i say that the coach did not want to win the game, or that he coached us not to win the game. If that is what is taken from my post, i apologise. What i meant was, that the boys werent set to win it at all costs. Next week they will be.
I dont believe for one second that DA coached them to lose. That did not happen. But i dont believe they went into the game with a win at all costs attitude either.
Ok why we will win next week raguardless who we play-Its a meantal thing.....
Did we kick and chase ? NO
Did we have a winger? NO reddy was the last man everytime?
Did forawrds run hard? NO
Did we get the line ball calls? NO
Did we get share of possesion? No
Cab we win?
hell yeah
cant play that bad again : )
You just dont get it do you. So what was DA game plan. To see how the team can play without Hindmarsh and Grothe. Or lets play St George into form, for the sake of the NRL. Or lets see how the 2 wrights play tonight.Or lets just turn up, cause we are in the 8 no matter what.
Winning the game would of been part of the plan. Thank f**k, you aint on the coaching staff, you moron.
We are dreaming if anyone thought we could win 12 straight to win the GF. There had to be a loss somewhere and if anyone can tell a better time the loss could have come at, please let me know.
Am i allowed to say "i told you so"?
