Yep our team today was awesome, its full strength, its like we barely miss that person, eh whats his name, johns i think. If we can rack up a 40 point differential against the cowboys, and the warriors lose we will go into 6th position. A tad safer than 7th and 8th, i guess we still have a lot to play for in this next game so the boys should go out there with their minds focussed to kick some ass.

DONT get too excited too quickly.. RESTING players in a game that we MUST win in case the Brisbane game and or the parramatta games go against us.. We COULD still miss the 8 you goose!

2 Wins without Joey doesnt give us the chance to rest playrs.. and you NEVER rest placers in Sudden death games.. Which EVERY game from here on in will be Sudden death!

I don't think we need to rest players... the only one we may need to is kennedy, but he got up fine today so he might be right..... we need all those players on the field.
But can I ask why you would rest Tahu when he just came back? :?

I would probably rest Kennedy, but all the others seem to be doing ok. Kennedy looks like he's still being hampered a bit but I reckon with 1 week off he will be right. and theres not much risk in not playing him against the Cowboys anyway as we're already in the 8 (and can't miss it Vigilante) plus our side is more than good enough to beat them with or without Kennedy.

I think Matt Gidley should get a week off to get over his shoulder injury and enjoy his new baby.
He has played all year and a week off and a few days away would see him back very fresh.
Hall could fill in for him.

Buderus and Bk could do with the rest, but I think we must maintain the momentum, and taking them out of the team would change the makeup of the team when we should be getting it to work like a machine before the first (and possibly last) final.

Only rest players who have been carying injuries, and I don't mean niggling ones, anyone else, if they are fit put them on all the time, football is about always putting your best team on the field no matter who you are playing.

I couldn't agree more. Taking Danny Buderus & Ben Kennedy out of the team to play against the Cowboys, could very well disrupt the momentum & the style of play. I cannot see anything in the world making Ben Kennedy rest next week.

I'm not entirely sure about the injury-status of our players, but if an injury has been troubling a player (such as Matt Gidley - not sure if the shoulder injury is anything serious), maybe a week off is the solution, especially if there is a high risk of aggravation.

It will be interesting as to whether we do rest any players for our encounter against the Cowboys.

Kennedy was on crouches today... but his confident of playing... his ankel wasn't in plasta or bandaged.. So hopefully he will be right to play.
Danny said that he thought the only player they may need to rest is BK, but he will be very determind to play.

I think we should only rest players carrying injuries like Parso and BK but haveing said that it is not a nothing game so we should be going out there and giving it our best shot with all the players that aren't injured playing.

What we need is momentum. We can only gain this by beating the cowboys next week.
That's true... I believe they will beat the cowboys and gain more confidence for the finals.

The team has been named

Robbie O'Davis
Timana Tahu
Matthew Gidley
Adam MacDougall
Anthony Quinn
Sean Rudder
Kurt Gidley
Josh Perry
Danny Buderus
Matt Parsons
Steve Simpson
Daniel Abraham
Ben Kennedy (c)
Interchange

Matthew Jobson
Adam Woolnough
Craig Hall
Andrew Price
Reegan Tanner

Interesting to see that Tanner is 18 above Lowrie and Matt Kennedy. It seems like they are giving those three all a turn at being the next guy on the list.

The selection of Kennedy is surprising, I bet he came the heavies with Hagan who wanted to rest him. Still doubtful he'll play though, if he doesn't I think we'll have trouble beating the Cowgirls, Kennedy is the bloke who's been urging them on in games, he's been the motivator. Todays paper said Tahu was in doubt with a sore shoulder also. I guess we'll have a better idea later in the week.
