yeah I think its pretty much a sure thing, vagana will want to play.
Unless the bulldog scandal is proven true, I think all we can hope for is a close game.
I think franze would love to play opposite him, he doesnt back away from a challenge.

Yes, he had a blinder and it looks like he will be more than a capable replacement for Vagana. If we play like we did last night against them, we could give that record loss a bit of a shake. Hopefully they won't take us seriously and we'll give them a run for their money. If we can, it will boost the boys' confidence enormously. But if we get absolutely hammered, I imagine that the opposite will happen and it will be very long season indeed.

I saw him play twice last year, and we contained him pretty well in Flegg. But did look good last night. As for the team, I wouldn't make mass changes. As Gallen is out, I'd move Bailey to the 2nd row and bring in Franze. Apparently Vagana is still a couple of weeks off, so I wouldn't rush him.

I wouldn't change much really. I'm probably the only who thinks this but IMO they were trying a bit too hard, pushing passes that weren't on, try too far with the kicks (Ever heard of the sideline BK ?), and some really poor support play. The problems were in attack, not defence.

The only way these things will get fixed is with practive & experience and to get these things you have to keep a stable team. Its only round 1 for christs sake.

Having said that, give Sullivan and Galloway more game time !!!

I'd like to see Merritt at fullback, and Peachey to five-eighth. Peachey simply can't make enough ground on kick returns any more.

I'd keep Lomu there too, and bring Franze in for McGoldrick.
