If we sign Lion I can't see anything but a Lyon/Whatauira centres combo. Also O'Neill, Boof and Galea will be our backrow.

Vicious, just because a player has potential doesn't mean he should be in a first grade side.
Harrison and Fulton carve up in Premier League everytime they play there.Would you like to watch them continue doing that for another couple of years until they come off contract and the Bulldogs or Roosters sign them????????????????????????

Fulton is still a flegg aged player. Give the bloke time. Fulton, while capable of the miraculous is still a kid, perfectly capable of f***ing up 2 seconds later. He wont be going any where soon so there is no point of ruining next year by playing a kid.
The majority of players who end up better than average 1st graders are playing regular 1st grade by age 21 at the latest!Tim Sheens made a statement earlier in the year stating that he expects Liam Fulton to become our regular starting lock sometime early in `2005.That is why he had also planned to move Ben Galea to hooker.I`m positive Bronson will also be a regular in the 17 as of next year.

Liam is only a teenager, no where near 21 and he isn't even playing lock.

I think both Fulton and Bronson will carve up in the NRL in the years to come, but that said you have to also look after the players who are in the side and at the moment they aren't doing too much wrong. They will get their chance next year and when we have injuries.....

But just because a player carves up in PL does not mean they will be a good first grade player. I recall one James Webster who was a superstar in PL, but in first grade had little or no impact.....

im with ya on that mate, i rate elford highly, he will definately be a starter in the backs. Whilst Jamie Lyon would be great we really need a specialist winger. Elford could shift to wing but its obvious that his best spot is in the centres

He was Born 8th August 1984 = 20yrs which means he is close to 21 if my maths serve me correctly ;-)

how good is it when we cant decide on who plays where in days gone by we couldnt really think about who should play where now it is a two or three choice for most positions. :D

Just because a guy ( such as Fulton or Harrison) is really good for his age, it in no way means he's a great player of first grade standard.yet. Infact to be honest they're ordinary first graders who in time will improve a little more each game
and hopefully turn into the star they're touted as.

To be honest i cant see Fulton or Harrison in the starting side when round one comes along. In the 17 yes but not the starting side. Im not saying they're crap for one minute, simply they lack experience and at that age it can be gained from the bench and even PL.

AS for the guys who bag Elford , what are u watching??? Yeah he's made some errors, but after Hodgson and Prince he's been our best back. Im sick of defending him when i shouldnt have to.

Phil he has just turned 20.

Yeah well Westie did post it after his 20th birthday which would make him older then a teenager champ ;-)

Anyway I don't want to get into a stupid argument on his age of all things but Fulton to be a top grade lock will need to put on some much needed size which I think he won't be able to do!

I want Sheens to play him at 5/8th because I think he could be a future rep player in that position but I very much doubt he will get a fair crack at that position becuase of 1 man being Benji (unless Benji leaves of course)

I would say Elford and Boof are 2 of the most underated guys playing for us at the moment!

I'm with you on the ELford issue. I think he's done well, sure he's made some errors, but so have Prince, Marshall, etc.

suzie i agree elford is solid and underratted by many (Wrighty) he has done a lot better then the centers we have had in the past. and i think reynolds would of had a good year aswell if he didn't get injured.

Yeah - I hope Reynolds comes back next season, stays injury free and produces the goods for the Tigers! If everyone stays injury free, imagine the discussion over the team selections each week! Nice kind of situation to have 8)

Bloody oath Suzie and on Reynolds this kid can play, I know I said this all last year and this year but I wouldn't say it otherwise pity injury knocked him out :(

But your right Suzie not just in the backs but in the forwards and especially in the front row and who would of thought that 2yrs ago ????

Things are looking very positive indeed. I remember the bold predictions on the official forum last year, and most of our bold, but realistic predictions seem to be coming to fruition.
