Does anyone know who will be the manufacturer of the eels jersey in 2011? I heard a rumour a while back that Adidas were one of the companies rumoured. Secondly, will it be the heritage jersey that has been worn in a couple of games this year? Sure hope so as it reminds me of the time, in the 80's, when we actually used to win grand finals.

Apparently we are going back to the circular logo from the 80's and 90's, it was suppossed to happen this year but the NRL said no as we had missed a deadline and they had sent things off to media agencies and printers... they let it silde for the heritage jersey but not for the main one.

What was it like back then? It's a hard time to imagine :( Lucky you lived it!!

It was a long long time ago when parra reigned supreme.

The automobile and telephone had only just been invented. Man flying to the moon was still just a pipedream.

I remember the good old days of a bygone era.

I know our deal is up for grabs, and judging by the way they are pushing the heritage jersey out the Door at the B&G Army HQ it is quite possible that we will be with another Brand next year.

But who knows.

As far as I know yes we will be going back to the "Heritage" Jersey permanently.

What is it they said on the Gruen? Nostalgia is like a shot of Anti-depressant. I guess our fans are going to need that after this year.

Say Adidas gets the deal, I hope we keep our famous four stripes on the shorts, front and across the shoulders of jersey as Adidas always appear to use three in their gear.

Man you're not wrong ...it was that long ago that i watched the 81 grand final on a black and white TV ...but then again that was more because of a tight ar*e father rather than lack of technology .......witnessing 4 premierships from the age of 10 to 15 made me think that it was gonna keep happening ...oh how wrong I was ....:(

The Blue 81,82,83 era jersey was and is an all-time classic: the design we wore when the Eels were invincible. Aesthetically I think it is our finest as well.

Personally, I have a soft spot for both designs we wore in the 1980s, but also (perversely) the 1995-2000 design.

I would like the old school blue socks and shorts with 4 stripes as well.

After such a frustratingly underachieving season like this one, a trip down memory lane will help - at least until Round 1!!!

This one, it'll teach the boys a few good things about what passion and pride truly are.

Adidas would be handy. Certainly have a lot of $$ and I believe they sponsored us in the 80s as well? Or at least were involved as our apparel provider?

Would be interesting if another shoe company became a part of our team though...given the history and relationship ASICS have had at the club.
