Yes, the rookie is finding out what playoff football is all about though will be better for the game next week if the Steelers pull through this. If not, his brilliant rookie season is over and goes into the following season as the main man in Pittsburgh.

On a side note, the turnaround in Jerome Bettis's season continues! The Bus was all but traded in designated as a goal line specialist yet has become the feature back again adding to his 13,000 plus rushing yards.

This drive will be crucial (and we breath oxygen too Broncodroid :) ) not only for the Steelers but also Roethlisberger's confidence heading into next week.

Triple team Ward, his main man, and you can shut down his passing game. If NE do win, Pittsburgh will need to look at spreading the ball more. Ward has 10 receptions...the next best is Burress with 2! The Pats defense will work over the Steelers passing game.

Shit!! That was a choke-a-thon between both teams.

Two games to late but...

Philly - No Owens but I think theres still enough left in the tank to beat the Vikes. Worst thing though is showing Westbrooks ability to catch & run a few weeks ago, I'd have much rather it be being shown this game.

Pats - Brady is simply the man. (Thats no doubt going to come back & bite me on the arse but... :p )

Of the two I missed, I went the Burgh & St L.

Roethlisberger, the solid but not spectacular QB, will remain undefeated and move to his first AFC title showdown vs the Pats, a team he defeated. The D is awesome, the offense is simple though effective...Easiest pick this weekend when the Jets have injury concerns with Penninton and Abraham.

The Burger was spectacular on the weekend....spectaculary bad...

He is the luckiest guy in the NFL with that defence that held the Jets offence to 3 points..

And what I have always said, what about the Steelers running game?..
Imagine the luxury of having a fresh ( although still not 100%) guy like Duce to bring in for the game winning overtime drive after Bettis has pounded you all day... Especially handy when you can't rely on your QB who has had a severe case of the shakes all game..

The Steelers will win the SB carrying Burger, not because of him...

Good to see the two 8-8 teams have been found out... I was impressed with the Vikings form last week, but Culpepper and Moss had shockers today...

The Rams defence was pathetic yesterday....

Peyton Manning = Dan Marino; great regular season QB not able to win the big one. At the moment though our man Dan GOT to the big dance which quite possibly Manning will not. A little eary to proclaim given he has a quite a few seasons left yet, though Brady the playoff king of QB's looks like ending another promising season for the Colts.

4Q - NE 20 IND 3 - The Pats WILL repeat.

Props to Corey Dillon, what a season! He helped secure my fantasy football league (got him in round 2; Vick was my round 1 QB) and justified the move from the Bungles. A truly great back who IMO will go close to pipping Emmitt Smith's record of total rushing yards.

Following the Pats v Colts game on the net.

Late in the fourth, appears the Pats have it in the bag 20-3 up.

QB stats seem similar, but the NE running game is tearing up the Colts defense.

Poor old Peyton....I think the owners of their stadium need to take off the roof off in Indy so the team can get used to playing in the cold....It looks like they are going to have to keep making the trip back to Foxboro on a regular basis in the playoffs....

And the call of Brady being THE best QB is justified once again. Peyton may win games & call his own shots but Brady just WINS SUPERBOWLS. He is the ultimate in a clutch situation & the biggest pain in the azz for Manning.

If Jim Johnson can find a way to stop the run next week & T.O is ready for the SB, this year will be one of the greatest of all times.

PS: Ben Burger is a BUM!

"PS: Ben Burger is a BUM!'

Rookie of the Year QB who just had arguably the greatest rookie QB season of all time who remains undefeated and in his first AFC Title game...some bum

YES, he had a shaky first playoff game, alot of GREAT QBs had had poor playoff games, look at Peyton Manning, Brett Favre etc. He will be better for the experience and will look forward to meeting the Pats at home.

bronco
benny boy has been very shaky the past 7 weeks. They did a comparison on sportscenter which broke up his season into 2 periods. His last 7 weeks have been nothing special at all.
Still, he got the win and thats the main thing...i dont think he can go all the way

He's not a bum... just over-rated.

Solid but not spectacular. :D

Bronco , you would have QB'ed the Steelers to the playoffs this year, considering the rest of the talent on that team... 8)

I chose the PATS simply because I have rode them this season as SB contenders and likely winners. They have injuries on D and I was nearl going to tip Manning and that Offense. I won't, I will stick with the undefeated Brady come playoff time with the knowledge Bellichick and the Pats own Peyton Manning.

I got 2 from 4 this weekend looking for 2 upsets in the NFC which I came out looking the fool  .....you get that, though I got the AFC games correct which was the AFC Championship game I nominated a while ago in a 'prediction thread'.

As for Big Ben, I think his winning streak will end this weekend vs the Pats, if Manning was able to get it done, then I would perhaps lean to the Steelers.

I am not proclaiming Ben Roethlisberger as a top echelon QB, yet...Iam simply stating this guy is a 'special' type of QB who got the job done this season which few could argue with given he is undefeated. Yes, this is a team sport, but he was still the man behind centre in the position that is seen as the fall guy if a team loses alot of the time.

Saab, yeah, I saw the comparions, the split was dramatic though he is still winning which is the most important stat.

Just finished watching the tape of the Pats colts game. Might I suggest to the Colts they invest in some defence? On the other side the Patriots put on a tackling show.
The writing was on the wall though when Dallas Clark dropped a pass that would have been caught for a first down in Indy.

Congrats to the Patriots though. Whilst as a Dolphin fan I really hate them, I 've also got to respect them as well for what they have achieved over the past 4 years. Now please Browns sign up Romeo Crennell and weaken the Patriots coaching staff some more ;-)
