Teams should just play each other once during a season.
Home or away would be based on where the two teams played the previous year (Parra plays Newcastle at home one year, away the next and so on).
Less games means players will stop whinging about too much football. Opens up plenty of time for a proper rep season. Each game becomes more of a premium ticket - with only 6-7 home games each season fans are more likely to go to a game. Wins and losses are more important - at the moment you can go on a 5 game losing streak and still end up Minor Premiers. Under this system you need to be up for it every single week or risk missing out on Finals.
I always find there is a bit of a lull during the middle of the season where the footy gets a bit boring. This would eliminate that.
Would never happen in a million years though. TV networks would hate it, and so the money would dry up.
