NFT - Chat room times??

I just tried out the new chat room function, and it works well.
In fact, it seems a very good format.

Anyway, the way we worked the chatroom over at LWOS was to make a time (7.30pm mon and tues nights) and all try to be there.

The purpose of this thread is for people to say when would be a good time for them.

Of course, you can just go in for a chat at any time, and the format lets you tell if anyone is in any of the many rooms at a glance, but I think we need to set a few times during the week when we can meet up in the Knights chat room. Then we can say all the things we don't want recorded for ever.

Looks good Roopy, this one of the main gripe's with the old forum was the lack of a chatroom...it's safe to say, we will use it. :D

I work from 3 till 11 except monday and tuesday and have one sunday a month off.
That pretty well means I only have Mon and Tues when I could make an evening chatroom session, but I quite often go out on those nights, so I am really an infrequent chatroom user.

Over at LWOS we found that many of the people who only post once in a blue moon really liked to use the chatroom at the regular sessions, so you got a different crowd in there. It also gives you a chance to get to know people a bit better because you can ask questions and get immediate answers.

One thing I should warn people about, you can copy and paste things said in the chatrooms, and people have been known to copy any embarrassing things said into a thread (it seems funny to some).

I've actually signed into the Knights chatroom, minimised it and clicked a button to be informed of changes and the chatroom comes up on screen when anyone else signs in. Very handy function.

Count me in!

I'd be keen for a Monday or Tuesday night any time after 7:30pm.

It makes things a bit difficult for me with the time difference (being ahead 2 hours) so I would probably be in there fairly early on those nights.

I met some really nice people on the old LWOS chat room and have missed not being able to chat since everyone moved here.

Roopy, can you explain the notice thing for the chatroom in more detail? It sounds good but I'm a bit of a techno-idiot when it comes to computers.

Thanks

To be informed when someone checks into the Knights section, or any other section I suppose, there is a little button (with three other buttons) down in the right corner that looks like an exclamation mark. It is the turn window automatic alert on/off button.
I just click it on and minimise the window and go on with reading the forum till someone checks in, then the chat window comes back up.
Green eye tells me you will be logged off if you don't use the chat room every 20 minutes, so it would be necessary to make a little post every 20 minutes to stay in the room.

i just checked it out....pretty cool. what about after the game tonight?
I won't be here (work), but during the game might be a good idea too. I know some people like to talk while the game is on, and the chatroom is quicker and cleaner than making posts all game.
