Well …. Mann would be an easy safe pick

Lomax is the right reign to pull though. Point me to the last 19/20 year old who debuted with 1st grade experience? It is always a risk … He showed in the trials that he was ready but mary has been derping him up though …

The last two or three games we have had tries scored against us by kids given shots as 19/20 years olds . The wing like it or not is a young mans position. Campbell Graham/Nick Cotric/Addo Carr/ even Broncos debut a bloke and he scores/sets up tries as a 19 year old.

Lomax for sure will come in and make mistake … but the team is in a position right now to absorb that - hell we are already absorbing Nightingale's errors every week. Lomax is good, is solid in the air (can take those high bombs above his head) … It is so beyond time to give him at least 40 min … Hell start him and keep nighty on the bench for cover - Mary has demonstrated he is willing to not use that 4th player.

Mary has said he is giving players on the bench some game time leading up to SOO.
What is the point of putting someone like Lomax on the bench and not use him.
Watching the games this weekend a few clubs were playing their younger players and they played rather well.
You won’t know whether our youngsters can make the jump unless they are given the chance.
We have a few youngsters that could make the jump to first grade but with the use of our bench by Mary they atr not getting the chance.

The simplest logic flow

What we do know .. Nightingale isn't up to it anymore!

What we don't know .. Is Lomax ready?

Easiest way to find out .. Pick Lomax on the wing.

What if it fails .. Pick Latimore/AhMau/Sele/Mann on the bench .. Mann can cover wing if lomax fails otherwise Sele plays the 7 min bench cameo.

What if it works .. It works obviously. Happy times.

a bloke with a bit of toe may be about to make up for the errors inside though … nighty's lack of pace compounds the issue … A faster stronger bloke can leave a bit more space between him and the centre, a faster stronger bloke can stay in touch with the outside..

a few of the tries whilst created by issues inside could have still been stopped on the edge with a bit more pace.

However, there are 3 or 4 examples this season already where tries have been missed because Nighty was unable to finish them …
i dispute your last statement, list them (and don't include the ones where Aitken failed to pass to him).

it is the same point .. he can finish a try where he doesn't have to do anything but where any speed or strength is required he simply cannot match it with 1st grade quality wingers anymore.

I am not questioning his ability to stand unmarked on the end of an attacking play and catch a ball and put it down from a few metres out … not at all …

I thought the try they scored on his wing was rather to easy poor nighty’s tackle was rather a poor attempt.
Lomax deserves a chance on the wing off the bench.
He will not be an instant success but he shows promise.

Amazing that a rookie coach who was unbelievably given a chance and even more unbelievably given an extension on his contract despite repeated failures in fact now refuses to give rookie players a fair crack at succeeding.
Lomax has played 3.5 minutes of football in how many weeks?
But is reportedly training the house down FMD what a joke it all is and people try to defend it which is an even bigger joke.

I think it’s unfair that Mann has to wait for a maturing Flo to retire, and just as unfair that to think he would be leap frogged by a young Lomax.

You make a lot of sense.
I agree give lomax a go or even Herbert.
