Yep hardly any misses

Enthusiasm is obvious, all these guys think they are a chance for round 1 and it's great to see

Buchanan, funaki and santi with some great one on one tackles. Santi with a critical one right on halftime when they had an overlap

Naquaimas reads on the wing have been brilliant every single time

There are some good signs. I hope Taylor picks players on merit.

Naquaima & Santi have looked great.

Naquima will be putting heaps of pressure on the backs for a spot. Personally, I think he is in our top five backs right now.

Buchannan has impressed me greatly. When he played first grade a while back, I was not too excited about him. He looks fit and very enthusiastic.

A gold star for JT for his first competition day on the job.

He is better than Lawrence or Richards based on the 9's. The thing is its only the 9's.

Buchanan looks to have put on a lot of lean muscle. Lots of talk from him too. With lodge fcking up he could be in line for a bench spot round 1

I would have Buchanan over Lodge. Naquima gets the job over Richards.

I can't see Lawrence making it as a backrower either because we seem to have a lot more options in the backrow than Lawrence. I think Lawrence could be on his way out unless he gets some speed back.

Who played No. 2? Hope he is not a back as getting run down by the coaltrain would be downright embarrassing.
As Tiger 05 indicates, this is only a 9's game but they did show enthusiasm and commitment.

Asipeli Fine. Mainly a center and really more of a solid defensive one then an attacking Simona style one. I was surprised however Taylor is surprisingly fast.

Lawrence's turn and run on halftime v Warriors was a lot better than it has been in the last few years.

I don't get the Naiqama love. He's okay here, which leads me to think he'll be less effective in the NRL.

There's a reason he has never been a regular at other clubs.

Lawrence to me hasn't looked bad. He hasn't looked good though.

Naiqama has looked significantly better than Lawrence or Richards. Maybe he isn't that good but that puts Lawrence and Richards into perspective.

Lawrence may still be able to cut it in the centres in first grade. I still have some hope for him there. I think the talk about him playing backrow is pretty dumb because we have a lot of options that look a lot better. I have no hope whatsoever though for Richards. He is so slow and although his kicking game is great we need wingers that can finish half chances and he can't do that now. If he proves me wrong great but I think that this is pretty obvious now.

As for the overall team chances this year. I think we have to figure out the outside backs. I think the backrow will be fine.

We looked the good old Tigers against the rorters. Terrible selections. No pace. No skill. No muscle.

The tournament has give me some hope for the season though depending on whether Taylor can pick the right players. I'd be surprised if he gets it right but you never know.

Haven't been able to watch the games...

But I am surprised with the squad they picked that they won a couple of games and got through to the next round...

Good result to give the young blokes some confidence, and hopefully return back to Sydney injury free...
