I hope Jed Cartwright (Burning Map 2) stays in the centres. You look at the likes of Melbourne, they have a huge backline.

Always irks me when a commentator declares that a big centre should be bound for the back row.

He's probably not going to get a look in for first grade in the threequarters, even with that name. He looks like a backrower, especially when he loses a bit of pace.

He is a back rower who was moved to the centres it would be natural for him to move back there as he grows. I doubt he's been signed to play centre.

Feel really bad for Rhyno having to maintain a vendetta against one of the best sides in the league. Rough draw matey.

Well done lads. Attitude and discipline too good. I feel a grand final preview coming on!

Well, between the forward pass ruling and the fact Cleary hadn't grounded the ball and was entitled to improve his position, I guess the refs had their say.

Well win or loss of the grand final the boys did a great job for us and proving the doubters wrong. Was very impressed with yeo, waqa black and James tamou especially really looking forward to what he'll bring.

As long as we leave injury free and shut rhynob up and his team. Today was a good day

Now bring on the NRL season!

Waqa Blake was freakin' awesome today.

The "Greg Inglis" comparisons that he was labeled with before debuting in first grade certainly didn't look out of place today. The stepping, the fending, the speed.........

He must certainly have sewn up the right centre spot for the season proper

I am glad I never abandoned the Blake bandwagon. He looked poor at times his rookie year and I felt he needed to be dropped to get confidence (some very dumb errors). But I was always confident he could be a beast if persisted with.

He is just a freakish talent. His frame and abilities are so much like a young Greg Inglis. He just lacks the confidence and game awareness Inglis had. So he will never have a career as amazing as Inglis. But he is capable of doing some of those ridiculous things Inglis could do.

Hiku better be the one warming a wing spot gor Mansour... or even better Edwards and Hiku sitting in reserve grade. No way he's among our 17 best.

I always felt the Blake bashing was stupid and naive.

There were bigger issues in 2015 than him(cough Archer's Airhead Army).Blake never had a set partnership with anyone in the team.Everyone around him was a different player every week.

Rather than develop his game week after week, he's forced to adjust to different playstyles...just as he debuted too.How do you do well in those circumstances?

Why is he great now?Continuity, pre-season trainings, Griffin coming in and building him like a demigod...funny too what happens to a player when everyone around him believes in him.

Also, the fact we almost won this is baffling to be honest.Wasn't the squad we sent over viewed as a joke and no chance of beating the other club's NRL player dominated teams?

Oh boy, that is some ugly signs for the other clubs this season.

People make judgements on kids way to early. Blake was written off as never going to be a star after his rookie year, which was ridiculous. Even that season being overweight and playing in a struggling side he still showed glimpses of what he could do, he just dropped the ball a lot. A year later and he finishes the 16 season looking like a world beater. I read in here the other day someone opinion that Dylan Edwards will never be more than a stop gap winger, fair enough its a possibility but the kid has played 1 FG game after a very promising junior career, its way to early to be making a call like that. Kids at that age can develop massively over 1 year let alone 2 or 3, look what a bit of fitness and confidence did for Blake. I have no idea why we are so keen to write kids off so early but I find it really dumb.
