the attack will come once boyd and priddis get familiar with hornby and soward. the thing that impressed me the most was the fact that the intencity was there the whole game. the only downside of the night is that stanley is not a first grader. he was shocking tonight.

if we can play like that every week it is gonna be an awesome year

Not a fan of Stanley either. He reminds me of Darrel Millard who has been no loss. Stanley is only young & will get better. He went ok tonight

im just trying to say it still looks like the old dragons out there, same kind off errors, same boring attack. and our defense isnt a bonus, it was 4th best in the comp last year

I have no doubt the old dragon ways will be eliminated miracles are not achieved in a short period of time. If benny can win a gf with s perry in the 7, and score plenty of points. I am sure our attack will come.

Chase needs more urgency, that kick in goal he had a chance to tackle the storm player in goal. He made a 1/2 assed effort, and well you know the rest they score in that set of 6.

bullsh*t watch it again and pay attention to him he was f**king useless, and is always caught out of position, he is in his 3rd year now, he has no excuse he is not good enough especially for the centers.

If you don't think that is our best start to a season formwise for many years (even allowing for the loss) then you didn't watch the same game I did.

The forwards really stuck it to them and the whole team played it right out to the end.

Storm might have the 2 pts but we took some huge steps forward tonight.

f**k oath that try was his fault, he could have stopped that in the in goal.

Agreed completely. Good manners got the better of me. I've never liked him. I live in the hope that he will get better knowing that he probably won't.

He went ok in the sense that I've seen him play worse.

Dumb thread. Rome wasn't built in a fkn day. A one point golden point loss to the three-peat minor premiers on their home soil on a greasy night is an ok effort with a new coach, a bunch of new players and new attacking schemes. btw Melbourne lost to Cronulla 17-16 in round 2 last year and lapped them 28-0 in the prelim. Just sayin.

ps Jasdragon take your meds

Soward was aweful today. He is rubbish. Saints are in strife if they persist with him. Head is much better and can GUIDE the team around better. Not 1 dimensional like Soward. Even when Soward passes the ball he looks uncomfortable. All he can do is kick bombs, chip for himself or kick for the line. Very predictable.

Head knows when to go through the hands, Bomb, grubber in goal etc.

Wendell apart from 1 good run was also rubbish. Brett should be on the wing. It's only a matter of time.

Chase was crap but is only 19. He can only get better. I would put Boyd in the centres and place Morris at FB and Lett on the wing. Sailor and Chase to get the chop.

All tries were scored on Chase/Soward side. Boyd is a better defender in the centres than Chase that is for sure.

Weyman, Jeremy Smith, Boyd, Creagh, and Dan Hunt were the stand outs for me. All played well.

i cant believe all the so called "fans" bagging out the team after a round one loss to arguably the best team over the last 3 years at their home ground, with key positional changes and a new coach and a new style....

f**k me, get your hand off it lads, the boys played brilliantly tonight. If you cant see/adknowledge that, then im sorry but i think your a fake. You are one of those miserable bastards that only follow the team truly when they are winning.

Look at what it is for what it is. Head is a halfback, not a 5/8. And having head and hornby in the halves would create utter power stuggle.
Stanley missed most of the season last year and was playing in lower grades, he has had a full off season in the centres, but only game time develops a player. Give the kid time and get off his f**king back!!
Wendell not only provides an experienced head on the field, but his try assist shows that he still has the vision and ability to make a game breaker.

Just cant believe i got on here and the usual haters are at it already...Shouldnt be suprised really, but f**k man, c'mon. Maybe you'll all be singing the teams praises after our next win...

I can't believe people can bag Barrett and love Soward. Soward is Rubbish and Barrett was a true legend. Since he has left the dragons have been terrible in the halves. I wish they got him back. The Sharks will kill it this year cause of Baz.

I know thats your point of view, but oh my god...
Barrett was not a 5/8,
barrett was 1 better then mundine, but barrett played for himself too,
barrett didnt offer anything in attack, he had moments like anyone does.
But to say that the sharks will kill it this year because of him will really come back to bite you i think...

Soward will develop into an extremely cunning 5/8, lets not forget who his coach has been the last 18months, he is with the champion coach of halves. Bennett will develop soward over the next two years as an attacking threat of the NRL. Soward plays for the team, and that above anything else is the number one priority.
Im so over seeing the likes of mundine, gasnier, barrett etc etc with their overinflated ego's divising the team and searching for personal glory.
What we have is a squad of 25men that want to all play for the RED V under SAINT BENNY!

AMEN!

I think uncle wayne wanted to approach this game by being conservative.

We had a alot of errors but its the first game and away at the scum, not an easy game for any team, however they are not as strong as last year so I was expecting a win.

Not concerned..

The main thing is that the defence is right which means our attitude is right.

There are some nice subtle plays there. When they are perfected, they will be very hard to handle.
