well penrith management appear to have found a way around the cap.Just dont tell anyone officially you have signed anyone.Still not officially announced on Simmons but is in every newspaper

I think you can take it as a given Simmons will be wearing Windsor Wolves colours next season. If he is lucky he may get to wear the Black if Jennings get to play origin.

We could have some more room under the cap releasing waterhouse...if he has ended Price's career....I'd have no hesitation to show him the door.

Price has known neck problems, and I think he grabbed his head and pulled it on the ground....if thats the case...then he can play for the Roosters and be a thug.

I saw him run in and tackle Price Big Mick, but I didn't see him head pull on the ground.
Hope you're wrong. Was a f**king stupid thing to do either way.

From what I saw...he rushed in..and had his arm around Price's neck they then got pushed to the ground but Waterhouse didn't release...which then I think resulted in Price being knocked out...and he still didn't let go and moved side to side while holding the neck...it definately didn't look good.

Thankfully they reported Price was awake and not feeling pins and needles....Waterhouse better god damn hope he is alright...and take accountability at least.

But I wouldn't be surprised once the addrenelin stops pumping for Price that he has a fractured Vertebre.

mick i sometimes wonder how close you actually watch games

1.price was knocked out by a white punch clear on the replay
2.waterhouse tackled price bringing him to the ground even commentators said this
3.he was third man in a fight and ran a considerable distance thats why he was sent off

price is okay was sitting up in the dressing room.Commentators said he had no pins needles but was takin off as a precaution

Price was not too worried about his neck issues when he was punching on with a blues player.

Trent did come in and 'tackle' Steve Price' but to insinuate Trent Waterhouse is a thug is offensive and way off the mark.

Trent Waterhouse did nothing wrong, did not deserve to be sent off and suggesting otherwise is absolutely offensive.

I am very surprised in your stance Mick. Very disappointing.

Geez... I'm going to go hunt down some replays ASAP.

Trent Waterhouse would have to be one of the true gentleman of the game.

I cannot ever recall Trent Waterhouse being involved in an unsavoury incident ever in his career.

He was sent off the field this evening for coming 'in' and tackling an opposition player who was a willing combatant in a punch up with another NSW Blues player.

I am personally appalled by any suggestion that Trent did the wrong thing or was involved in an act of thuggery.

The sending off of Trent Waterhouse is an absolute joke but I fully expect the NRL to charge him with a grade '10' charge and out him from the game for a couple of seasons because he players for the Panthers.

I do not normally watch SOO because it means nothing to me other than I am concerned about injury to Panthers players who may be playing in such games.

I did watch the game tonight, but I can honestly say it is my last SOO and I will never, ever watch another.

Big Mick, your assessment of the incident is so far removed from reality you should be ashamed to call your self a panthers supporter.

Trent Waterhouse's involvement in the incident had no bearing on any injury, real or otherwise. sustained by Steve Price.

Steve Price was a willing combatant and happy to punch on with a NSW Blues player and came off second best. Blaming Trent Waterhouse and the hysteria you infer is an absolute joke and very disappointing.

I agree with what you're saying Kilkenny and tbh if it was anyone but Big Mick I would probably just ignore it, but I respect this blokes opinion. I'll have a second proper look myself before judging him though.

Talk it up Richo...not a Penrith supporter bullsh!t.

Having watched it again. Trent did something incredibly stupid...he should know better.

A gentleman off the field he may be...but he was damn stupid on it tonight.

Price may have been knocked out by White...but he was still awake until Trent slammed him into the ground and had his arm around his neck.

Now my calls for him to be rubbed out were silly yes...but he was dumb and to suggest that he was in the clear for what he's done...perhaps you should take some rose coloured glasses off...because if the roles were reversed and Price did it to Waterhouse...you'd be livid...SO don't give me that bullsh*t...and keep you "Ashamed to be a supporter stuff" and shove it where the sun don't shine.

Having watched it again...it wasn't as bad as I first thought...he does twist but he was KO'd by then...but he still goes on with it. It was a dumb act...not worthy of rubbing out...but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a couple of weeks for it...but seeing as Price is ok...Waterhouse should be ok...knowing the judiciary.

F*ck me dead. Waterhouse didn't do anything wrong. Was probably a bit stupid yes, but that's only because Steve Price was knocked out. Had that not happen he would have been doing nothing but breaking the fight up.

What were the odds that Brett White wont he fight? He's a f*cking pussy.

I may be biased in that a similar inicident is why i'm not playing the game anymore.

I was speared at aged 12 in a rep game at Cronulla then got blindsided kinghit and held around the neck. Did severe damage to my spine resulting in the fact that I couldn't do any contact sport for 6 years...which meant no Union (despite the gayness of it ..was the only form of rugby at high school) during school and no league ever again.

Slight things like that...while not in someone's "Character" can be highly, highly dangerous. What he did was incredibly stupid and in all honestly has lost a bit of respect from myself personally because it was a pure act of cowardness. Thankfully Price isn't severely injured...but I wonder what peoples tune would be if Price's vertebre was dislocated and ended his career....whether everyone would still be saying I'm not a supporter and saying how innocent Trent is...I highly doubt it.

How many careers/injuries has price caused by diving at another players knees while they were taking a kick?

If any player was deserving of an injury it was Steve Price. Not that i would wish it upon anyone else... but Waterhouse just got unlucky that Steve Price was knocked out. He didn't do anything wrong. Unlike Steve Price who is constantly targetting the kickers knee caps in the hope of smashing them.

I'd never wish that sort of injury on anyone...and to say that is pathetic.

Price isn't an angel...and yes he's done some stupid sh!t too for which the rules of the game changed as a result.

But that doesn't change the fact that to say someone "deserves" an injury is a load of sh!t.

Trent Waterhouse did absolutely nothing wrong.

Yes he ran in.

Yes he tackled an oppostion player who was willingly punching on with oneof our players.

Please explain to me the infringement which was worthy of a direct sending off.

I repeat the decision to send Trent off is an absolute joke.

Big Mick you should give yourself an uppercut on this occasion.

Right after you deal yourself one for even suggesting i'm not a supporter. Pelican.

The offense is he rushed in...and took out a player third man in. Read the freakin rulebook.

White through the first punch...then Price held back, White through another, then Price started swinging back. Waterhouse blindsides him, rushes in and takes him to the ground and had his arm around his god damn neck.

I said calls to rub him out were stupid, but Waterhouse did a DUMB thing...a very very dumb thing which COULD have resulted in a serious injury. Take off the rose coloured glasses and watch the placement of the forearm. They don't just sent people off for no reason.
