Here is just a snipet from an Article in todays Sydney morning Herald about the Bulldogs culture and they compare it to Parras:
Parramatta still haven't recovered from breaking all sorts of records in 2001 only to lose the grand final to Newcastle. Yet the Bulldogs have played through scandal after scandal and are now looking at making amends for being kicked out of the 2002 finals for salary cap abuse.
Why? And more importantly, how?
"I think it's just the culture here, the culture of the club," said Anasta, not showing any sign of a cringe at the word. "[It's] the way everyone works so hard at training and works so hard on and off the field. Everyone just believes in themselves. Canterbury's just an awesome club and has that aura around it. They bring you back to earth. If you at any stage step out of line, or at any stage think you're better than anyone else, they'll bring you straight back down.
"That's the main thing. It's consistency in the way they handle the players and the way that we train and the way we play."
------------
U have to give credit to the scum they do things better than us. Steve Folkes comes across as a mans man who treats his players with respect and trusts them fully while our coach drops players 2 mins before kickoff and so on. Thats why players never want to leave the dogs because the Club takes care of them, they love turning up for the club. Thats why most of there players stay at the club even lower graders untill they are forced to leave after some time.
Sometimes doing things the Old style way like the bulldogs do is better than Parras so called "Professional" outfit.
