It doesn't matter what he says.

Fact is, none of the 15 teams have played a single NRL First Grade match yet. So what does he have to gauge us with?

Manly have recruited well and are looking good. Same as Souths.

I firmly believe ANY of the 15 teams at this stage can take the Minor Premiership and/or Premiership.

Besides, he never has liked Parra anyway.

Yeah I read his tripe for those who havent

Gould's ladder

1. Roosters
2. Knights
3. Bulldogs
4. Dragons
5. Raiders
6. Panthers
7. Storm
8. Cowboys

9. Sharks
10. Broncos
11. Warriors
12. Tigers
13. Eels
14. Souths
15. Manly

On the Eels
"They have had too many changes to their roster in a short space of time. coach Brian Smith will have to work wonders to pull it together. Need to have a great run without injuries to keep their top team on the paddock"

In the Footy Guide he gaves positives and negatives on each time for Parra.

Strengths: Adam Dykes looks to have shrugged oof injuries. Jamie Lyon and Luke Burt looked verp sharp in the sevens

weaknesses: Big turnover of players but I am not so sure the players coming in are better then the players going out.

Just for the record, Chris Anderson has also ruled us out of the running in the Sunday telegraph saying we will come 11th.

I love it!!!!

There's nothing I love more than so called experts [icluding Daley] believing that we're not capable of contributing to this premiership. All of you guys seem to enjoy beating ya chest at these blokes when they rule us out but I enjoy sitting back and going into the comp as underdogs.

I welcome any other expert opinion that says we're Gary goners before the season starts.

CA probalbly thinks the Eels can only win if Hayne refs all our games LOL

seriously though what did he say about the Eels and what was his ladder very intrested to see where he put the Sharks after they fired his pathetic arse.

But with what reason do they cast us aside I mean look at our team:

1. Burt (City-Country, possible State?)
2. Peterson (our strike weapon; pretty much a try a game)
3. Lyon (best centre in the world)
4. Vaealiki (NZ fullback, hasn't played his best footy in 2 years)
5. Grothe (former NSW winger; looks VERY good)
6. Dykes (when fit, anyone with half a brain knows just how good he is)
7. Witt (talented youn 'un; possibly Qld player?)
8. Cannings (going to be a NZ player; underrated)
9. Morris (City-Country; announced as runner-up in Footy Show Awards Utility PLayer of Year in 2003)
10. Vella (NSW and Oz)
11. Hindy (DUH!)
12. Cayless (Captain Courageous; NZ player)
13. Wagon (QLd; 2003 Players' Player)

That (on paper) is a MUCH stronger side than some of the other clubs going around. So why do they constantly underrate us?

Simple

With Gould it is due to Fitzgerald disagreing with the Roosters on the cap.

Anderson problably something to do with the 74-4 game.

even if Parra had won the comp in 2003. gould still would not have put Parra higher then 6th due to Fitzy's comments.

This is great news. I hope there are more people who tip us not to make the 8. High expectations are only a burden & a distraction.

The fact that Gould has The Panthers at #6 and the Warriors at #11 is a laughing stock in itself!

we played about as pathetic as we could last season and just missed the 8

and if by some crazy chance hindy does get injured again, we'll have someone better than crouch replacing him

Who cares what that fat faced f**ker Gould says, thw more they put us down the more the players will play harder. Parra performances are in our own hands not these so called experts.

Very true Jake, if Parramatta needed more ammunition to get fired up for 2004, they have got it.
What chances of them with full page apologies when Parramatta make the eight and go on to take the 2004 title
