Prior to that game at the Showground, the Bulldogs scored 62 points the previous week vs Rabbitohs, then 50 points vs Storm, and then 56 vs Manly at Brookvale. No wonder Hazem El Masri ended up being the leading point-scorer that season, scoring 60 points across those three games alone.

Furthermore, hard to believe that in a few months time, this all occurred 23 years ago!

I'm guessing it's a player in the Wests teams 98 and 99, as they copped quite a number of 50 points.

I have fond memories of a night at Marathon where we piled the points on them and the crowd sent a Mexican wave around the stadium uninterrupted at least 10 times. Thought we may have hit the 50 but seemingly not

Would guess it was someone who played for Wests-Wests Tigers around the turn of the century or someone who played for Souths before and after they were cut with a stint at someone like the Cowboys or the like whilst they were exiled.
