So all of cinema should go under because you don't have the wherewithal to wait until the movie starts before entering the theatre?

There's maybe one movie a year when I have to tell people near me to shut up or put their phones away. You must have extremely bad movie luck.
Meh... cinemas should go under because they have become complacent. A lot of cinemas basically offer an average experience made off the back of movie studios. I don’t begrudge studios going the streaming route if the numbers work out better.

I do think that when cinemas get it right there’s no better movie experience... but with the rising costs I wouldn’t go too often.

My own private session on my 65inch screen with Dolby surround sound is an excellent option... I don’t care what anyone says...

yeah I’m at the point now where my home setup is as good as the cinema unless I make the effort to get the best seats in the house.

Another positive of the decline of cinemas is it could (and I recognise this may be very wishful thinking) force "blockbusters" to be better. It's easy to get excited about the new Marvel, DC, etc movie on a 500 metre screen, surrounded by a couple hundred filmgoers wearing f̶u̶t̶u̶r̶e̶ ̶d̶i̶s̶c̶o̶u̶n̶t̶ ̶S̶a̶l̶v̶o̶s̶ ̶c̶l̶o̶t̶h̶i̶n̶g̶ branded merchandise eating a big bag of popcorn and soft drink out of a shiny WONDER WOMAN 9/11 cup. When people are just watching at home like everything else they might go "Hmmm, this isn't actually that interesting".

I reached that conclusion around the time of Capt America Civil War and Spectre.

One good thing about Covid was the delay in this film’s release and not having to hear the fk awful Billie Ellish theme song.
