Kimmorley, Dykes may both depart

THE manager of Sharks halves Brett Kimmorley and Adam Dykes has told the club they may end up losing both players after it tabled a second, reduced contract offer for its captain.
Kimmorley was yesterday offered a deal worth $250,000 a season - $50,000 less than the original offer that was sensationally withdrawn last week.
Dykes has been made a big offer and last week appeared willing to stay - but the five-eighth is now considered almost certain to sign a massive deal with English club Hull.
Despite Dykes' imminent departure, however, the Sharks did not increase their offer for Kimmorley, leaving manager George Mimis to raise the possibility of both playmakers leaving the club in 2008.
"Over the past four weeks, the Sharks have dramatically changed their position," said manager George Mimis, who represents Kimmorley and Dykes.
"They went from wanting both players, to one player, to the other and then back to the first. The dynamics have changed.
"I made it very clear to (coach) Ricky Stuart and (CEO) Greg Pierce that there was a real prospect that both players might not be with the Sharks beyond this season.
"Both players are looking at their positions."
