This is some BULLSH!T

It shouldn't matter who played better against who on the day the fact is;

Johns is better than Gower, Gower is better than Orford & Orford is better than Kimmorley.

Therefore if a player/s is unavailable it should go like this;

Johns > Gower > Orford > Kimmorley

Matt Orford is twice the player gower is and he is the one that deserves the halfback position, he plays every week for the storm and if the storm did'nt have him they would struggle to win games

I thought Gower deserved it for his displays this year. He was pivotal to Penrith's success, has played at the highest level and showed in the Grand Final that he can perform when it really counts.

But, in saying that, I think that the Coach must have the last say on who takes the field. He is after all the one who has to wear the brunt of the ramifications if they lose. And if we lose to the Kiwis or the Poms, Anderson with be ramificated out of the job.

Yeah but Gower has been the better halback this year....so he shud get it infront of Orford. And it would be the same for Penrith, if they didnt have Gower they would struggle to win games as well. So the fact of the matter is Gower is the in form half at the moment, and deserves the position more then Kimmorley. Im not saying Kimmorley is a bad player, coz on his days he plays as well as Andrew Johns and sometimes better. But in reality Gower should have the position.

If Kimmorley wins man of the match - it will prove either that your forwards were completely dominant (entirely possible) or that Chris Anderson is choosing the MoM.

OR the unthinkable... that he was actually the best player on the park! Could it happen?!? Say it ain't so!

well it hasn't been so for a good two or three years now so whats going to make it all of a sudden turn around?

because he played a few internationals last century and never lost?

wow.

if gower, sherwin, orford & mclinden were all injured i'd cop kimmorley at starting h/b but right now he shouldn't be.

And kimmorley has managed to do something that johns can only dream of ......... Lead NSW to a 3-zip whitewash in an origin series.

I suggest you rewatch those origin games because you will discover who ran the show The first game was a fluke win for NSW. The final two had Andrew Johns returning from injury and playing off the bench. It was he who destroyed QLD in those games not Kimmorley.

I don't remember Noddy being captain.... so "lead" is probably the wrong word.

And, like Monky, I remeber Andrew Johns coming off the bench and being fairly influential.

Why not put Noddy at hooker - given Ando's the coach, Noddy's the only half who hasn't had to play hooker

Just because he's never played hooker doesn't mean he can't. He's tougher than you think.

Look, as a Sharks supporter, I am very happy to see him starting half and his record at Test level speaks for itself. As previously posted by others, it's a side thats harder to be omitted from than included.

IMO, however, Gower deserves the jumper ahead of Kimmorley based on recent form. He played in the winning GF side, so obviously he's had a good year. Playing behind those young ferocious forwards made his task easier, never the less, he has played outstandingly of late.

Kimmorley, in the right circumstances, is the better player though, IMO. Playing in this national side, is the right circumstances. He will go well. He is a tremendous player and complimented by the rest will be brilliant.

Gower will end up playing 5/8 and hooker and the Aussies will be undefeated.

Well, I don't think we'll be seeing Noddy displace Gower at halfback for a while now... although knowing Chris Anderson, anything can happen.

Kimorley isn't to blame for the loss, it was indeed the Australian forwards not one player looked like going forward. Shane Webke just threw a mountain of hopeful offloads, this sought of thing will work well into GB's clutches.

Brett Kimmorley is League's answer to Captain Kirk.
No doubt about his abilties but everyone still thinks he's a dork.
