I ran into Noel last night shopping in Woolworths,Baulkham Hills & I went up to him & asked him if he was Noel Cleal, even though I knew it was & he stepped back, let out a big sigh & said "Why? I don't owe you money do I?"LOL
I asked him how things were going at Manly & he said things were going good & Kane was doing very well.
I told him a lot of people were upset about him leaving & he asked if it was on the Parra website & I told him it's still up but not too many people go there & told him about this site & he said he'd check it out.
At about this stage my daughter decided to embarrass the crap outta me & mentioned that my face was going red & then she pointed to his shorts & said "Look Mum,Manly...YUCK!" LOL
Anyway I said bye & tried to get away fast & then we were at the checkout & I told Cassie to go & ask him if he had any message for the Parra supporters & she came back & said he said he'd go for Parra even though they wouldn't win...
Then I saw him outside & asked him if that was the message & he laughed & said "No,I said I WOULD go for Parra every game except when they play Manly!"
Anyway I just thought I'd share that.He is a nice man, very funny & loves footy & It's a damn shame he left Parra but I wish him all the best...except when Manly play Parra :D 8) ;-)

Its a travesty that he is gone. He is the best talent scout and we give him the flick what a JOKE. It will come back to haunt us maybe not straight away but over the years it will.

Come back Noel.

Shame to see him go, he did alot of good work, as far as recruiting goes.

He has a huge task to get Manly off the ground..........he must really love a challenge.

Interresting to see he still lives in Eel country.

Yeah you would think that if you got a job in another suburb then you would move there too.

I think we'll see a few of his discoveries follow him to Manly.

Stupid move getting rid of him.

Hi Noel!

Great to see he's still loyal. A pity our club couldn't show that same respect and loyalty to him.

Oh and Noel: Sorry to break it to you buddy, but Manly doesn't have a chace in hell against Parra! And thanks for Cannings!

You make it sound as though he was born and bred in Parramatta!

He's a Manly man through and through. Good to see him come back 'home' to Manly.

He'snot a Manly man through and through. He isn't scum! he's a legend. Parra will be the poorer withjout him, as we all said last year. Should have gotten rid of brian smith!

FFS Misty to say we should have gotten rid of Smith instead of Cleal is stretching things a touch IMHO.
Noel had a great ability to find quality youngsters and bring them to Parramatta, now that is out of his hands so will be interesting to see the results.
Now I can just see Manly having the same problems Parramatta are having, that is getting qulaity youngsters but not being able to hold on to them.

And he had the good sense to get out of there.

He only went back, cause we showed him the door.

Hey Eagle eye!!

Have you heard of a team called Easten suburbs?? because thats where where crusher started his first grade career back in the days when you lot were signing up comps left, right and centre.

It doesn't make sense we keep a guy like Reddy who bashes other sporting coaches and we get rid of people like Cleal who trys to get us the best talent available.

Damn pokie tax!!!

Manly have to pay pokie tax too.

IMO the pokie tax thing is a cop out.

It has not been legislated yet, and yet Fitzy gives it as his excuse for axing Crusher a year before it takes effect.

Something smelly in the swamp if you ask me.

I don't think Crusher was one of teacher's pets.

I don't know what the real fuss is about Crusher. I've been told there players running around in the comp at the moment that were snubbed by Crusher Cleal. Allthough I wasn't told who those players were, I was assured they were top line first graders. In my opinion Crusher Cleal has a long way to go to get to the same feats as Arthur Beetson.

His position was made redundant when Manly chimed in with a massive offer to join their camp and bring his son with him. However prior to that there was a riff between him and Smith , but both have talked in glowing terms of each other to the media.

Manly would have to hope for a decent return for their investment or they'll be in bigger shit than what their in at the moment. Personally I won't be holding my breath.

Sad to see Crusher go, but he had no other choice.

He got sick of his recruits being turned into a merry-go-round, going elsewhere and not staying at Parramatta, because we sign other rejects that have finished their career. Im glad someone finally said something about it, I would be p*ssed off to if I recruited someone from the bush with a lot of talent, but has to end up somewhere else, cause he cant get a go in front of someone theyve signed for no particular reason, and couldve given the youngsters a go.

I agree with Jake the Snake, this could probably haunt the club in the years to come.
