Someone is going to offer Xerri more money, I'm sure.
Still a few desperate clubs out there trying to get some talent into their squads.
Wests, Canterbury, Gold Coast are three that might throw some cash his way. Would he be willing to spend a lot of time losing games to get that extra dough though?

For sure they will. Super talent on the rise. He has a great season next year and some club might offer him 800K for the next four years, which is an extra 1.2 mil. I'd take the risk.

We already know he can play. We've seen it.
It's all about whether he can maintain his talent and work hard to get even better. The Sharks would be in the best position to know whether that's the case so it will be interesting if they decide not to go too much higher with their offer.

My suspicion is that the length of the contract indicates their faith in him but was also an attempt to lock him in for unders. His size isn't a problem, unlike a lot of early talents. If he remains injury free next year he'll get offered more.
