Would be hilarious if Ryles is Dragons coach.

Dragons fans always thought he was an over rated cat as a player haha.

And I remember him as just a dumb front rower who at times did some really dumb stuff on the field.

Now he is seen as the saviour and some genius.

How many assistant coaches from Melbourne system have actually been successful once they became a head coach.

Madge won a comp at Souths so that's a success story I suppose but he is currently an assistant again and reputation needs to rebuilt after being destroyed by the tigers.

Kearney was an abject failure.
Seibold looks like a dud
Dean Pay didn't do much

Kevin Walters jury is out even the players say Reynolds is the one doing the coaching.

Adam O'Brien claims to be greatest assistant coach of all time but hasn't won a final in 4 years as head coach.

That leaves BA a bush coach done good gets a pass mark. Compared to the other lot.

And I guess this goes in non-Eels stuff now... did anyone catch Seibold's quote about seeing Jake as a ball-playing forward 😲?

“Jake adds depth to our squad, particularly in the halves,” Seibold said. “We feel he also has got the ability to be a ball-playing forward with his size and defensive capabilities."

a few here have made the same suggestion, he's obviously a ball player and has a kicking game but lack of speed and his size sort of stops him from being that nippy little halfback

he may turn into a Dymock type ball playing back rower but not to the extent that Dymock did, I think even Dymock may have had more pace than JA

Isn't that a photo of him but?? I was gunna call the cops and say I think I know the name of the bloke that nicked my wallet the other night on my way home who was dressed in all black and wearing a hoodie, and he plays for the Parramatta Eels!!
