Netflix of sports launched by fox:

https://www.news.com.au/sport/more-...s/news-story/c712fc684da8179b68422e63065acb76

Haven’t looked into yet, but if it shows NRL games live and can be streamed looks like my Foxtel will be disconnected.
I have free Foxtel Now with my internet package and pay $29/m to add sport.

So basically they are offering a stand alone version of the Foxtel Now Sport package that I have now.

As far.as content is concerned the value is subjective. Some might say that they will get huge value out of it. Some might say that it us overs compared to what Netflix or Stan offers.

No doubt the NRL are looking at the numbers to be their own digital content provider. IIRC the NFL have their own app which provides all games live and on demand.

This piece of garbage, now dead thankfully, was ASIOs watch list. Apparently had his passport cancelled or was denied flying to Syria to fight with that lunatic mob 3 years ago....

Am I missing something? If these stoneage f**ktards want to fly over to Syria or some other shithole to fight in the name of religion (ie fiction) shouldn't we be letting them go and THEN cancelling their passport so they can't get back in (or at least making it a bit harder) ... FFS we should be supplying a parachute and pushing them out of a plane somewhere near Aleppo or Damascus and letting them go for their lives. f**k off.

But no.... We'll try and "save them", give them a chance to be better people but ultimately see innocent people killed on our doorstep. The decision makers letting these merkins live among us while they're on watch lists should be ashamed of themselves and out of a job....

Or .... they are victims of systematic religious radicalisation and need to ge saved from themselves.

Not entirely disagreeing with you, but just putting it out their from a mental health point of view.

The real criminals are the religious elders here and on social media who have been in his ears and eyes for years and encouraged this abhorrent act of violence and led him down the path of sacrificing his life to be a (false) martyr for thier cause.

So then what have authorities been doing for 3+ years since he wanted to go and fight with ISIS I wonder? Has anyone stepped in and held these extremist elders to account or have they stepped in to get this cretin help for his mental health issues? The answers are No and No.... Meanwhile an innocent man is dead... FFS he was actually going to assist the other merkin because he thought his car was in fire...

Sorry, but if that was your father or grandfather who was murdered yesterday Gronk you'd be whistling a far different tune. I know you're not excusing it, merely trying to explain why the terrorist was still living in our country, but ultimately, I'm not interested in the explanation. Time to round these characters up and get real.

Problem is that the feds don't have the resources to follow a merkin like that around 24/7 who to date had a criminal record consisting of minor traffic offenses since his passport was seized.

I am in no way diminishing the gravity of what happened, nor do I lack significant empathy for the loved ones of the deceased, however the solution to the problem is a two pronged attack. Yes you need to continue with counter-terrorist surveillance, but we also need to educate and de-radicalise kids in schools and mosques so that they can identify and avoid the nut jobs grooming and poisoning their minds.

Edit: also the media who have a habit of labeling the entire Muslim population as evil, does zero help in trying to convince men and kids that we are an inclusive and accepting society.

I get this side of the argument as well, but in my opinion it’s not worth the cost of innocent lives when we can’t save them from themselves. There is one person no longer breathing tonight who still would be if this merkin was allowed to go to Syria and never allowed back
