But without scientists we would have no cures for many things...
But yeah they need money to survive.And there jobs are based on grants.Im sure if you worked for 24,mths on something you believed in you would find and remember the facts that back them rather then the ones that don't. Especially if it means another 24mths work on 6 figures.....

Have only really been looking at the inner south but thinking of adding it to the list. Thoughts?

Good, on the whole. Close to the city, good amenities (ie Ainslie cellars and a cracker Asian restaurant and French bistro) in or nearby. It's tucked up against the mountain so pretty quiet.

Development has taken a lot of the old scumbag housing developments out of that kind of area too.

Science is the type of industry where the non-elite are essentially hobbyists.

Scientists should be very smart, and the best ones are. But now that tertiary education is something anyone can attain through student debt and three years of patiently ticking boxes, the ranks of these non-customer facing professions are being hollowed out by non-achievers.

You're a successful lawyer Gronk. I'm sure you have your own opinion on the real life effectiveness of the bottom 80-95% of those in your profession.
