Merkins. I need technical advice. So I have installed LED garden lights. I have 8 x 7w LED spots with a 150w driver.

Below is a representation of my setup. The GPO and driver are located at the red dot. Each of the green dots represent a LED light. They are installed in a daisy chain. Each spot was installed individually and tested from the one closest to the driver through to the spot furthest from the driver.

After I installed spot 8, I switched the power on to find the spots 1 & 2 were no longer functioning (actually spot 1 was just on, spot 2 was not on at all), however spots 3 - 8 were functioning strong.

I took spots 1 & 2 off and tested them and they work fine. Reattached to the daisey chain and we get the same as before.

Cable run is about 40m in total. I’m using 2.2mm heavy duty garden cable. Not using out of the box bunnings lights, instead using Havit with their 150w driver.

Connectors are 3M Scotchlok

Do I need a heftier cable for the long run ? Doesn’t make sense that the spots furthest away from the driver are strong but the two closest have stopped working.

Damn shame that @hindy111 went on strike. All I can say is good luck.
