Am I missing something? 'Aghast at' is the usual expression but I don't see why 'aghast from' is incorrect??
Because it is the contemplation of the situation that you are observing that makes you aghast. Although uncommon 'aghast by' or 'rendered aghast by' would make sense. You could use 'aghast from' if you add a preceding verb, such as 'shrunk aghast from the fearful task'.....but in this sense you are 'shrinking' 'from' something. Aghast is an adjective. Anyway, I was just picking on Gronk coz he was picking someone else and probably stole his lunch money as well.
