Was it as good as the Sopranos? I find Italian Italians are generally less entertaining than Italian Americans.

I've never seen Sopranos. I will go 2 or 3mths without watching TV. Then decide to unless its an Eels or Panthers game. Id rather drink tea and look at the sky and read.

Issue with Gomorrah is it can go in circles a little and to often there was not enough of a build up before a death.

Aussie drama Wentworth was great for the opposite. They let you fall in love with he character before knocking them.
Gammorah become predictable when everyone just about dies within a few ephisodes if they aren't given much of a role in the show. So you know they'll be wiped out soon.

What it does well is shows how dirty the villans life is. To many of these gang shows tend to glamorise the lifestyle. This is more realistic.They live always looking over shoulder, paranoid and not trusting anyone. And the deeper they get the harder it becomes to get out. In it to death and not the nicest people.
Unsure what Sopranos is like but when you see a lot of these shows, to often they give the impression that it's an enchanting and exciting lifestyle. Gommorah shows it for what it is. Egos being consumed into a dark web full of betrayal.

Maybe Avenger just enjoyed the beatings and people being shot dead. I am unsure but I guess the point of the show is to show the darkness.

Sopranos is easily one of the best TV series ever made.

I do pizzas on my Ziggy quite a bit and they turn out pretty good.

@hindy111 , I stand 4 empty baked beans tin cans on the grill of the Ziggy, and then place the pizza stone on them to elevate them to near the top not the good when it's closed so they're getting that the topping is getting the max heat and not the base directly. Give it a go
