It was an admittedly over the top reply to an over the top comment that ‘only rich people play tennis’ . Which is just as untrue.

It’s not just as untrue. Millions of poor kids play basketball in the US alone. In a lot of other places it’d be soccer but even in Europe there’s public basketball courts wherever housos live. Pro tennis would draw from a much smaller talent pool.
No one said anything about the amount of poor / rich kids playing basketball. The comment was ‘only rich people play tennis’ .

I also hope IALB is doing ok. I didn’t necessarily agree with everything he said in the COVID thread but I very much enjoyed his contributions everywhere else on this site. He’s a funny bigger and hope he returns.
