I for one welcome our new jelly wrestling crocodilian overlords.
There’s always room for a good story.

I had a thought recently, that a lot of people find conflict quite interesting and that is why we get so much of it on msm.

There is a strong and willing market for unpleasantness.

Maybe we could use the school system to encourage youngsters not to tune into it.

I think I’m getting old!

Everyone with an iphone and a personally wired version of their own truth through social media is convinced that they are right about things that they have no idea about. Hence conflict between equally inflexible idiots.

Take the Ram for example. His views have been challenged with facts and research and he's shit himself and disappeared.

Bud Light was a massive kind of corporate fail as well.

Trying to bring wokey to beer drinking and of course, the right exploiting it for all it was worth.

So they switch back with more regular ads and the left hate them.

Sales continue to plummet, they are giving it away in some areas.

Maybe in the future, brands could have wokey or redneck stickers on the label to help the consumer make an informed choice as to the political affiliation of the product.

People want to stand for something these days. White processed bread gets a redneck, Helga gets wokey.

A chance to express yourself at the checkout.

Getting late, back to AntsCanada. I might send him an Australian Bull Ant!

Funny that it was a stupid ad that made people turn off the brand and not the fact that their beer tastes like echidna piss.

It wasn’t the ad per se but the use of it by those with more conservative leanings.

It made for a great rallying call to arms against woke.

For a brand to step into the culture wars was brave but also it seems, fatal.

Their efforts to save it are interesting, but the disenfranchisement of the American yob was surgical.

I would wind down the brand and issue a new one with the appropriate yobby redneck trappings.

Invoke the cowboy, construction worker and if possible, the military.

Maybe a crocodile mascot. Alpha predator.

“Wokey-washing”

We tried it in nrl.

Of course the pride protestors, their commitment to opposing the concept lasted one round.

I support the gay round and as I’ve said, the Mardi Gras should be moved to Brookvale Oval.

A sound marketing of conflict opportunity if that’s what life has become.

A lot of money to be made, exploiting insecurities on both sides.

Interesting take...

‘I’m a doctor who studied 5000 near-death experiences – there is life after death’

A doctor who has studied more than 5000 near-death experiences says his research has proven “without a doubt” the existence of life after death.

While each NDE is different, Dr Long has noticed several consistent patterns.

About 45 per cent of patients report an out-of-body experience. Dr Long explained that people claim “their consciousness separates from their physical body, usually hovering above”, allowing them to see and hear what happens around them.

He said these narratives have been confirmed by witnesses.

He cited the case of a woman who lost consciousness while riding a horse on a trail – “her consciousness travelled with her horse as he galloped back to the barn”.

She was later “able to describe exactly what happened at the barn” even though her body wasn’t physically there.

Others “say they’re transported into another realm”, with many claiming to have passed through a tunnel, seen a bright light, been greeted by a deceased loved one and watched their life “flashing before their eyes”.

etc etc...

@hindy111 had that NDE I’m dying to find out about.

I almost drowned once, but that doesn’t really count. A cliff fall, almost flew off an ocean liner aged 7, almost killed by the IRA…
