@hindy111 had that NDE I’m dying to find out about.

I almost drowned once, but that doesn’t really count. A cliff fall, almost flew off an ocean liner aged 7, almost killed by the IRA…

I recently had a near death experience on my business trip to Hobart.
I ended up meeting 4 Norwegian models and we ended up back in my penthouse. After 36hrs going for it I passed out from lack of oxygen with a pair of legs wrapped around my head.
All I remember was seeing stars and floating thru space.

36 hours of maths and physics problems really wears you out.

The Nobel prize was lost when Agatha forgot to root the square, distracted by your brave algorithmics.

Interesting take...

‘I’m a doctor who studied 5000 near-death experiences – there is life after death’

A doctor who has studied more than 5000 near-death experiences says his research has proven “without a doubt” the existence of life after death.

While each NDE is different, Dr Long has noticed several consistent patterns.

About 45 per cent of patients report an out-of-body experience. Dr Long explained that people claim “their consciousness separates from their physical body, usually hovering above”, allowing them to see and hear what happens around them.

He said these narratives have been confirmed by witnesses.

He cited the case of a woman who lost consciousness while riding a horse on a trail – “her consciousness travelled with her horse as he galloped back to the barn”.

She was later “able to describe exactly what happened at the barn” even though her body wasn’t physically there.

Others “say they’re transported into another realm”, with many claiming to have passed through a tunnel, seen a bright light, been greeted by a deceased loved one and watched their life “flashing before their eyes”.

etc etc...

But....they weren't dead.
A near-death experience isn't being dead.

If they had faith the why choose not to die.
Better off in heaven.
Not if they thought merkins still needed them. Before I had kids I was fully prepared to be deployed overseas and die. But as soon as I was a dad I became a coward. I know other dudes who went through the same thing.

No need to thank me. All I ask is that you turn a blind eye when I make a merkin of myself on Anzac Day.
Dad used to say that we all love the military and are keen on war until our soldiers start getting hurt.

So I duff my hat and hope you’re looked after.

As an Idealist, I think it would be better if the world didn’t see the need for any military, but I can’t do much about it.
