It’s so sad. As we’ve discussed before one of my best mates grew up in Wakeley and I have fond memories of the area in the 80’s and early 90’s. Early in my career I also worked around there and started noticing the demise of the area by the late 90’s.

It will never be the same.

what happened to it ?

What do you think caused rising costs?

I'm no economist and don't pretend to be, if I was gonna have a stab I'd say the risings costs due to inlation, it seems to be the common thread in the 2 articles that you have provided

Lockdowns ffs.

do you have any evidence or source for this ? I'd be keen to see it

these small events may be more affected by the economy than the likes of Good Things, Knottfest, WomAdelaide and most recently, Blues and Roots which have all done well this year

Google it. There's hundreds of articles on this

I don't have to google it, you are the one making the allegations

the article you provide makes no mention of music festivals and why some of the smaller ones are struggling to attract crowds

there is no doubt that the whole covid thingy and lockdowns may have affected our economy but you have provided no evidence to link any of this to those smaller festivals to which you have referred
