You must have missed the "Where's Twiz - Fingers crossed he's OK - DEAR LORD WON'T YOU LOOK AFTER TWIZZLE??!!!" thread we had going yesterday while your internet was out....

We thought you had preished so we had the thread taken down out of respect for the dead....

Glad you're back....

Thank f**k you're OK mate.

We sent our resident marine biologist @Gary Gutful out to find you however he had this hair brain idea of trying to Aquaman a bull shark to find you. Needless to say it didn't end well.

How come the NSW South Coast hardly ever floods ?

Less rain in general is the major reason, plus the south coast is backed by the escarpment and the water funnels into a lot of reasonably large tidal lakes. The north coast is more rivers, which are far more prone to flooding than the larger tidal lakes on the south coast, and the terrain inland is quite hilly so the water runs into the rivers. On the south coast the escarpment creates very deep valleys (where you definitely get flash flooding in heavy rain) but the water has more places to go.

I think visually the South Coast is prettier but my wife doesn't like it because the water is cold and those southerlies arrive like clockwork.

I think the NSW coast in general is arguably the best part of Australia. Sure there are some places that aren't so great but that's mostly because of what people have put there. You go anywhere along the coast and you'll find wicked beaches and great scenery.

We'll move down to Berry, Foxground, Meroo Meadow, Bellawongarah, Jaspers Brush way on acreage when / if the kids ever leave. Gods country down there. Close to 7 Mile Beach too.
