Watched some old James Bond movies on FOXTEL over the weekend. Even though I grew up with Roger Moore you actually now realise how basic and cheesy the Bond movies were with him in it. The way he fights in the "Man with the golden gun" is laughable. I know it's a bit tongue in cheek but it is seriously awful and hasn't stood the test of time.

I know most will say Sean Connery is the best and he probably is but my vote goes to Daniel Craig. He for mine is the best Bond ever and I'm glad he signed up for another 2 movies.

Thoughts ? Who is your favourite Bond?

I liked Pierce Brosnan as Bond....but apart from Goldeneye, which was awesome, the actual films he was in were awful which doesn't always help his performance.

I'm not a massive Bond fan though.

Roger Moore, precisely because he is cheesy. Craig is alright but the plots are ridiculous given how seriously he plays the part. What was his first one about? A bloody card game? And they got worse from there.

I like the black one. Or the female Bond, when they get around to filming it.

Hardy would be good. Or Tom Hiddleston.

And even though it caused a predictable furore amongst Bond fans I genuinely think Idris Elba would be an awesome Bond.

The best way to compare Bonds is to rank their best films. That way Moore as good as he was, sits 4th with the spy who loved me, brosnan 3rd with Goldeneye and then toss up between Craig with Skyfall and Connery with Goldfinger (best song and best quote)

I'm with you on Elba. He'd be a brilliant Bond.
I was excited back when the runourd were that Clive Owen had a chance to play the part, back in the day. Obviously Daniel Craig got it and did very well anyway.

Can't agree on Hiddleston. Suave he may be, but he's no action hero. He tried to do it in Kong: Skull Island, and he was just terribly miscast. I reckon he'd make a better Bond villain than Bond himself.

Obviously changing the law is a big step, hence the vote.
Said with irony, since when Howard changed that la there was of course no vote...?

No vote apart from the one inside parliament that is, same as for changing laws on every other matter (except for constitituional stuff).

Howard only changed the letter of the law to match the spirit of the law.
