Hey look at that. Turns out you don't know everything about the military after all.

Effective militaries need to be 'cliquey boys clubs' - too much is asked of its members for too little reward for it to be treated as just another branch of the public service. The 'new army' is a social experiment designed to appease well meaning politicians. A draw down is a reduction in numbers.

FFS Gronk all I was saying is that due to the lack of infrastructure in outback Australia added to economies of scale and somewhat overall need of just providing to the entire nation is the only reason why the NBN is now available. FFS

These are young men straight out of high school in most cases, with rampant hormones and little experience of life as an adult. The same people who have always made up the bulk of armies since the dawn of human civilisation. The reason for this is that they are the demographic most willing and able to face the costs. Boys who have newly become men have the least value to society otherwise. Their lives are worth very little, and they know it.

Anyway I'm sure they'll be getting nothing but the 'mentally strong' signing up in droves now.

It's irrelevant whether it's true or not. You've shown yourself to be an ignorant dickhead regardless of your implied profession. That's how you'll be judged, not on what you claim to do for a living.

It's like how I claim to be a professional analyst. It has no meaning (other than for the purposes of humour), because people can see my analysis here in the forum. If they think it's shit they will decide I am either not an analyst or just a useless one.
