Both of them speak of the refugees like they were cattle. I know that most of them are economic refugees, but seriously successive Oz governments have really failed to find a solution to this shemozzle.

That's because, while the plight of any given refugee (even the plight of an economic migrant) might be a tragedy, as a whole they are just a statistic, with serious implications for resource allocation, social cohesion, foreign policy, etc, etc.

This is the way world leaders are supposed to look at problems - dispassionately. Not bleeding from the heart because of the ills of the world. In the anarchy of interstate competition they just can't afford that shit.

The implications of parroting are that it is repeated continuously, as with Gronk. That an individual just posts whatever certain sources tell them to post. Again and again and again.

With the Awan Brothers, I spent a lot of time looking into it before I posted about it here. Do a search and you'll find that the only posts here regarding the topic are mine or in response to mine. Then compare the dates of my posts to recent revelations in the mainstream media and you'll see whether I'm just parroting others.

Do the same with Silkway Airlines and Bulgaria.

Now do the same with Gronk's endless parroting. Someone else here said it well - when you see a Tweet loading from Gronk, you pretty much know it's gonna be a Trump tweet. Because he is predictable, which is a sign of a parrot. You can't say the same with my posts.

So, no, unfortunately, I am not a parrot.

I don't want Gronk to be a parrot. I want him to think for himself. If he's interested in geopolitics etc. then he needs to take the hints I have given him and look outside of the Project Mockingbird Media.

It's gonna suck when he finds out that (and I know this is going to sound f**king mental) the election of Donald Trump saved the world. I'm hoping to give him, and you all, really, the chance to wake up before reality punches you all in the face.

Because once it hits, there's no backing away and changing your position post-revelation.

For the older merkins on this forum, I'm talking 40 plus: Do you have a different perspective on life? Ever since dad got sick and I when see both of my parents slowly getting more feeble I think very differently now. It's a cliche but I appreciate good moments more with friends and family. Try not to stress about stuff I can't control.

I probably have a slightly different perspective these days but the main change is that now, when I'm out with my loved ones and I say "Oi merkins, I have to go to the toilet", it takes a bit longer before I return to my seat.

After experiencing the pain and suffering my wife went through, I really appreciate friends and family and I am now a more emotional and much more generous. After my wife died, my friends and neighbours did things for me that I never expected them to. They helped me with looking after my horses, when they cooked dinner, they would make a little extra bring it over to my place for me. My farrier who doesn't work weekends would come over on Saturdays just to do my horses feet because I still work during the week.

I now, when I have a friend in need, I help them. And they ask what can they do for me in return? I just say, in the future, if you come across someone who needs help, go help them.
